You are right. With Airforce1 and someone else in another thread, there are two more admitted students in the past couple of days. Honestly, at this point, I don't care if I don't get admitted... I just want to know the final decision... I wake up every morning with this CLS crap in my head.
CLS - Reject, Waitlist, Admit?

All of you who is waiting for CLS decision, have you been put in the waitlist (if so, when?) or haven't you heard anything from CLS so far? I believe that there is still chance because there are even some people who have been accepted by most of the schools but not chosen yet.. so definitely there will some spots available.. btw I was put in the waitlist just 2 weeks ago.. somehow how I feel like they will only send admission e-mails from now on and once they have all spots filled, they will send a group of rejection e-mails..

i know how you feel saribuey. since i got rejected by nyu, im actually not having high hopes of getting in. i just need to know so i can move on. today's my deadline for fordham so i might probably just pay the deposit later this afternoon.

as_llm, i haven't heard ANYTHING from cls. no rejection or waitlist notification. absolutely NOTHING.
you might still have a good chance though because they made the effort to notify you that you're on their waitlist.

it is obviously very surprising that you have not heard anything from them.. have you tried to talk to somebody re your application status? If they review on rolling basis, I submitted my application in the last minutes of the deadline, so they must have reviewed your application in any case.. I think if you have not heard anything from them, you are implicitly in the waitlist, they just not take their time to send the emails..

i submitted my application 3 days before the deadline and got the completion email early january. i've read a lot of posts where other applicants got their completion email much later than i did so now, i'm not sure whether they are really reviewing the applications on a rolling basis...apparently not...
it just doesn't make any sense to me...not hearing from them at all.

I am also on the waitilist for about two weeks, but I'm not sure whether it increases my chances or not. I really don't understand why CLS admission process is so different compared to all other universities.

Same for me. (Well, except that they asked me to call them like 1 or 2 months ago, to ask me a question... See one of my previous posts)
But as far as I'm concerned, I don't really care anymore!
(But I just wanted to let you know that you're not the only one ;-))

Oh, my god...........I can't believe it......I just received the admission letter from my dream school few hours ago.....
Should I give up berkeley even I have paid the 500 deposit? probably yes?......as to the tuition and living expense? probably no?.......It's really difficult to make a decision!!!
I'm in the same shoes...
Except for the fact that my wife graduated from Columbia and we could start our Columbia legacy =)
It is at least $10K expensive than UC Berkeley for me

20 April 2009 (deadline for deposit)

thanks cecilia...i really don't have any idea why they're taking this long. i called them yesterday and asked them about the status of my application. they told me that i should send them an email because they don't give information over the phone. then i asked her if they are still reviewing applications - she said they still are and they will be sending decisions until the end of april. :(

I called them two weeks ago and I was told that decision would be made between the end of April to middle of May.However, I got mine today (NYC - yesterday, 2 April). I submitted my application on the last date, received completion e-mail on 24 January 2009.

Posted Apr 04, 2009 04:35
congratulations to all those who got admitted! does anyone now of someone who got a rejection email? i think as_llm is right, they are only sending out admission offers until all spots are filled. has columbia sent any rejections already? i havent heard of someone being rejected by columbia in this forum...
Posted Apr 04, 2009 09:19
Do not panic, please. I heard about the guy who wrote them and was rejeted. And about many others, rejecetd or waitlisted. We should stay calm, very calm, and we should believe.
Posted Apr 04, 2009 11:42
Exactly - I wrote to them and got rejected in a couple of days. Damn!
Fortunately, I have other offers at hand...
