Chicago: Nothing heard yet

andrew13

Dear all,

Chicago is actually my first choice. This is not only because I like the academic profile of the faculty and adore many Professors there, but also because my family has a special connection to Chicago. Unfortunately, I haven't received anything from the graduate board yet, not even the mail stating that they got my application. That's why I e-mailed them a week ago, but again: nothing at all.
I really can't explain this. My references were quiete good; top 2-3% German exam; wide experience with international moot courts...
I really keep my fingers crossed that all this will clear up very soon.
Has anyone been accepted so far?

Kind regards,
A13

Andrew,
Dont worry. I wrote to Chicago last night and was informed that the decisions will come out in the next couple of weeks. Wish you good luck!

Thanks a lot for the information. However, unlike you, I haven't received any answer to my email inquiring as to the status of my application. I just can't believe that they need more than a week to provide a short answer to an email.

Strange enough...

Your experience was really strange. I have applied to four law schools and found that Chicago is the one that responded to my inquires most quickly. I wrote to them last night and after less than half an hour, I received their response. Anyway, it sometimes just depends on luck. I wrote emails to CLS raising the same inquies for five times but they still claimed over the phone that they had not received any emails from me.
