Congrats on being admitted to Fordham.
I'm still waiting for an answer. I was wondering how long did it take to get answers? I filed my application a month ago, and was wondering if it really takes them around 6 weeks, like the website says or is there a chance to get an answer sooner...

My application arrived at their office on Feb 23, and I got the acceptance email on March 12, but no email confiming complete. Accepted into the International Law and Jusitce Program, but considering maybe International Business and Trade is better. Guys, which one do you think is better?

did everyone else get the acceptance letter so soon after sending the application?
I sent mine on february 27, and got a confirmation letter on march 10 saying that it is passed to the committee and that an answer will be given in approximately 6 weeks.
still haven't heard anything...

just got the acceptance letter!!

Hi james! Yes, I got an extension til May 15th. And I went to visit Fordham last week and Melba told me that they can even extend for the next semester. So I think that is no problem.

Roberta, do u live in NYC or just visiting? So I understand that you have decided to go to Fordham for the Fall program, it that right? I just asked for an extension until May 5, I was not sure to ask for more than that... if I had read your post before, I would have asked for a longer extension... (*#&&&$¨#&@$% well, let's hope that I will be able to make a decision until May 5!

Oh crap. I didn't want to be cheeky and only asked for two weeks - now I have to choose between Fordham IP, George Washington General LLM and Texas' US Law for Foreign Lawyers before 15th April.

Don't worry about that. At Fordham they told me it is no problem to extend the deadline. So if you are not ready to make your decision on this date,ask for another extension. At least that was what the woman of Masters of law program at Fordham told me.

I have been accepted to Fordham too...and I was just thinking whether an extension is possible?but I did not call yet...however does anybody know something about financing the LLM? I was actually wondering if when I complete the financial papers I really have to prove that I can support financially myself or should I put less in order to be financially sustained by Fordham?

As far as I know, they don´t grant scholarsips for international (are you international?) students for their LLM programs. Proving financial support is necessary in order to obtain your I-20 (for the Visa)

Simina, what program were you accepted for?
if it was International Law and Justice and you are an international student they have two full tuition scholarships available for that. You have to subscribe though. About the Loans, they told me you do it with a bank and you need a co signer that has to be a US resident.
About the extension, they told me it is possible to extend even to the next semester. But you have to be able to get your visa on time, so you don't want to extend til the last minute.

thanks Roberta.well proving the financial support is not hard zou can actually ask anyone to sign a paper and after that the payment to be eprformed by another person. yeah I am an international student, from Romania :) do you know how long does it take to get the visa papers after you have accepted?
