My app status reads "ready for review". It's been at this stage for over a month now. Is anyone else in the same boat?
paxromana, me too! Its been this way since early January.

Mine says "application under review" and it has been this way for a month as well.
I think there's no point in checking that status anyway, as they were pretty clear that they'll release admission decisions in a bulk. My understanding is that we'll have to wait for every apps to be reviewed before hearing anything back.
I'm worried about the acceptance deadlines though !

I guess we need to sit tight. I am planning on writing to the Admissions Office next week if my App. status continues to remain the same.

My status changed to "under review" a week ago. I'm not under any pressure since my other acceptance deadlines are April 1st and May 1st.

BTW, the e-mail informing me that my application was complete concluded with a request not to contact them regarding the status unless it's urgent so I wouldn't contact them unless you have an actual deadline approaching. Also, I heard from another school's admissions director that there's some sort of agreement between law schools to not ask potential students for deposits until April. It's non binding but if you do have a deadline before April 1st and are awaiting other decisions, you can always ask the other university to extend the deadline under these guidelines.

Hi all! Berkeley will be reviewing all apps together so I wanted to get a sense of how far along the process they must be.

Are many of you still at the stage application ready for review or an earlier stage?

Thanks!

Well, they say that they try to responsd with a month once you go 'under review' so that figures. Excellent, I'm just waiting on Berkeley and NYU and would like to hear in advance of April 1 before deposits due. The whole application process takes so so long and then the decision window is tiny!

On their website it says that there are 175-185 traditional track seats, and over 200 professional track seats. There are over 1500 applicants each year - therefore, it is relatively competitive.

Sure it's competitive, but keep in mind that to fill 175 seats they will be admitting more than 175 people. Because of those admitted, there's a portion that will choose to enroll elsewhere. Though I imagine the matriculation rate for Berkeley is pretty high.

You are absolutely right, I would imagine they offer 10-20% more students!

I don't but if it's a summer program I imagine it would be on their summer sessions website.

Hi!
I have a scholarship form that has to be dispatched by 20 March and hearing from Berkeley before this will help greatly.

Is it likely that their decisions will be out before that? If so, should I contact Berkeley?

Thanks!!

I think it's likely that decisions will be send out before 20 March as they announced that decisions are expected mid March. Also, someone on here mentioned that last year a friend received their decision on 14 March. So I expect we'll hear something in the coming week or the one after that.

Hey,
I also think decisions will be up soon because on Instagram they said that admitted students will be receiving their admittance packages by April.
So if we take into consideration the fact that it takes some time to mail packages all over the world, my guess is that the excruciating wait is almost over...
Good luck everyone !
