I applied for the admission to the LLM program in fall 2007.
I am still waiting for the decision.
I would be glad if I could hear some news.

Same here, all my application material were received prior to the december 15th deadline. Yesterday, i got the weirdest mail from their admissions office stating that my application was incomplete !?! Maybe it's due to some paperwork lag but I have been accepted in BU and don't have much time to make up my mind.

I have also applyed and until now did not have a word from them. Has anyone received an e-mail from the admissions office confirming that the application material was received?

According to the instructions most applicants are notified of admission decisions
by April. (http://www.law.berkeley.edu/admissions/advdegree/appprocess/ucbLLMapplicationinstructions.pdf).

I received an e-mail (middle of January) saying that they had received my material (but only one instead of two sets of transcripts I had to send another one) and that they would begin the reviewing process after January 29, 2007.
Just ask them about your application. They are nice.

I am a current LL.M. student at Boalt Hall and I've learned from the Advanced Law Degree office that the admissions will be released soon, as it happened last year (the first admissions were notified by e-mail by the second week of Feb).
I hope you have the chance to study here! Despite of some characteristics inherent to public departments, it is a great school, with amazing professors, where youll find lots of brilliant peers. No wonder why every scholar and prospective employers that Ive been in touch with says that UC Berkeley goes far beyond what popular rankings says...
At least on my part, I dont regret at all deciding to come here and turning down offers from higher ranked schools.
Good luck!
p.s.: + living in Berkeley is cool and the weather here is great!

How is the experience of living in Berkeley? Boal Hall is my first choice and it would be great if you could give me some insights about it. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm also an LL.M. student in Boalt. I received my acceptance on Feb 21 last year, but I don't know about this year...hope you guys are accepted!
Boalt is unique with its relatively small LL.M. student body (70+ for 2006-2007) and quite many of them are on their way to become scholars and there are also quite a few judges and government officials (I'm sure they'll climb high up in the latter when they go back to their countries)...also there are plain ol' lawyers like me who gets the benefit of mingling with these wonderful people.
The San Francisco Bay Area is one of the best places to live in the US with its mild climate...not too hot or too cold....the weather today is amazing with high temperature reaching 21C!. Also the view from Boalt Hall is great...especially when the sun sets behind the Golden Gate bridge.
One aspect I like about Berkeley is that it's not a big city like San Francisco but it's quite cultivated...one of the cultural centers of the US, in fact.
So, good luck to all you guys who want to come to Boalt!

Still nothing from Berkeley?
It seems that this year notifications from many schools are coming with some delay with respect to last year. Maybe an increased number of applications.

Just give them a call and confirm your file is complete. That's what I did yesterday, despite having received a similar email a few wks ago saying that my file was "incomplete". The lady said admissions decisions should be emailed/posted by the end of the month. Hope that helps.
