I got a Certificate in Environmental Law in conjunction with my LLM at Duke. If you want brand name school + good environmental law program, that is the place to be. The advantage of doing an LLM at Duke is that you can have easy access to classes, seminars and internship opportunities at the Nicholas School of the Environment. If you're interested in a career in energy, oil companies always hire at the Fuqua School of Business and when I was there, Shell also made a presentation at Nicholas. Lots of opportunity to network. You could also serve as a Student Attorney on Duke's Environmental Law and Policy Clinic to gain exposure to litigation and policy work. Moreover, the environmental law faculty at Duke are absolutely superb, and they offer cool classes like Food and Agricultural Law.
Hi lawbiscuit,
Nice info, I have applied to Duke and this gets me even more excited! Where do you work now anyways?
Cheers,
Tats

I have received some info from a current LLM at Stanford and their program seems very solid despite it has just been launched. Many energy classes at the law school and beyond (Engineering, Business, etc.).

Hi vlml,
I plan to apply to NYU, Chicago, CLS, Upenn etc. Does anybody have any views on Fordham, Duke, Northwestern LLM programs ?
Hi, Magnum.. I am applying to Northwestern. The programs are available at the school's website. I don't know what is your area of interest, but I thought that the Kellog LLM has a very interesting curriculum regarding business and corporate law. I have also heard that the Northwestern Taxation LLM is also very good.
