Posted May 05, 2009 05:52
hey, then why you worried, school has created additional 20 slots for US grads.
Posted May 05, 2009 05:53
vic said my app will not count b/c it's separate application process for that new program. ugh.
Posted May 05, 2009 05:56
don't worry if you from US then you'll be admitted under those 20 slots. so just grab a beer and enjoy, you'll be fine

The waiting is so annoying. Last I heard of UCLA was the notice that a decision on my case has been made and that I was waitlisted. That was in mid February. Since then ... silence.

So what're our chances to make it from waitlist, Sverkos?
I have been put on it since mid Feb too. Do you have any clue how many are actively waiting for offer as of now. I don't see much activity on this post. Which country you're from?

I'm from Germany. No clue what our chances are or at least how many students have been put on the wait. But since UCLA's program is a small one (compared to other schools), I suppose that chances are extremely limited. Would love to get into UCLA since I visited campus some years ago during an internship. Although I'd probably feel like 2nd choice student, having in mind that I've been admitted to other top tier schools. Anyway, I have the feeling that UCLA's admission process of waitlisted students is taking longer than any other school. That's kind of weird sicne they have one of the smallest programs. Btw, where are you from?

Im from Sweden. Yes, I totally agree with you about this delayed waitlist process. So tell me have you accepted any other school's offer or not? Where'll you go otherwise?

contact Vic Telesino? He is generally very nice and helpful (based on my experience when liaising with him).
