Many thanks, friend. I got as admission notice from USC but am still waiting for news from UoMich and UCLA. I'm keeping all my 20 fingers crossed now!

I am pretty sure the Graduate Admissions Committee has yet to meet since the 1 April 2009 deadline as I am still awaiting for a decision on a Dean's Tuition Fellowship (I am assuming the same committee decides both admissions and tuition fellowship).

So lexnex is right, don't lose hope yet - UCLA staff have been nothing but helpful / polite so I am sure they will notify you as soon as they can!

They said they anticipate to announce decision last week, but nothing comes up until now.

Thanks Gregy boy for your kind word- 'right'. How're things moving on your front, got any financial help/grant or not? What have you decided so far? Good luck man, you surely need one and so do all of us, including Cannibal & Bliss. But for that to happen we need atleast an admission decision first.
My info is based on the call I made to Vic last friday, he suggested to me that within a next week we'll hear the Graduate Admissions Committee's decision on pending applications.So good luckkkk everybody and hope we hear some positive news by end of this week or weeks ahead.
On a side note, Vic has only added 14 students on facebook as admin.of group so I wonder how many more candidates have already accepted the offer and joined.

thanks :p I am absolutely positive the Graduate Committee has met (as I have just been notified I have been granted a partial scholarship) - hopefully you and the rest who are waitlisted will receive your offers soon!

Hey Greg...congrats man, some relief, isn't it? when did you receive that email. today how many hours ago? whats the % of scholarship roughly? Also what have you decided since your deadline is 04/10 correct, accepting it or not?

I'm on the waiting list of UCLA...
I got the notification in february and they told me that I ll know the final decision in mid-april, may or june.

Is there anyone on the waiting list that had already been accepted?

I really want to get in bcz Columbia rejected me... and I tried only those two law school this year !

Noemie, my name in list begins when waiting list ends, so I am sure you'll be accepted before any thing comes my way. And I am hopeful like anything, Hoping against hope, I guess. I know because I am not in existing wait list, therefore only after confirming all waitlisted candidates, they can think of offering any position to me. In other words, You've been confirmed and waitlisted and I've not on any front. And yes you're correct, there exists no order in current waiting list. I am in US
