Ok, thank you all for the infos. We shall update the list by tomorrow, when we have two or three more entries. So far the numbers are 20 accepted and 8 waitlisted.
App2009, I did include you in the list indeed...and your wife too! Is that correct? As to me, I've not heard anything from the office yet. Considering the pace they are proceeding with, I am expecting some news next week...

Hi Guys,
Good luck to all those who are still awaiting feedback from Chicago. I got waitlisted (mail received on Saturday).
Regarding the list of those who've been admitted or waitlisted, I get the feeling that there is a good no. of people that have not reported their feedback on the board, so the figures might actually be higher than we may think....

Hey everyone...
Congrats to those in and keep the faith for all who have been deferred or rejected.
I got the admission email last Monday from Chicago. I have also recevied an admission into Penn so am deciding which school to go for. Would appreciate any feedback on this.
Thanks

Congrats to the new "accepted" people. We are now at 22 admitted and 9 waitlisted.
Snowie, yest thanks for the remark I imagined there is a good number of people who have not reported. I am just guessing that, due to the popularity of this board, that number is probably no more than 30% (perhaps around 20%), at least with regard to the "accepted" people. If you have any clue of why that would be an appropriate number, please let me know!

sorry to hear that you are on the waitlist - a few of us are on it too so you are not alone!

Giupoggi,
sorry to hear that too, but don't worry I guess about half of the peple in the waitlist finally get in.
Did you mean you got last Friday an email saying "application complete", or rather the mere decision? In the latter case, when did you receive your "application complete" email?

I am also curious about this cos my complete mail is on 30/01/2009.....maybe they just give me a kind of silent rejection....

Congratulations! I was also admitted into both and I believe that Chicago is better. It has more prestigious and it is better positioned in the international rank of universities. I would appreciate any feedback on which university is better: Columbia or Chicago. Thanks!

Related to this....does any of you know when information about financial aid is likely to be available? Was that info included in the email of acceptance, for example?
