Any news from NYU??

babeboss

I aksed if they will answer everyone before March.20, here's their reply:
-------------------
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the Committee will reach a decision on or before the date you specify. This is due to the highly competitive nature of the program and that we expect to receive over 2,000 graduate applications this year.

The Committee on Graduate Admissions recognizes that law schools operate on different calendars, and sometimes applicants must decide on whether to commit to another institution before hearing from NYU School of Law; we regret any inconvenience this may cause you.

We hope that you will be able to remain under consideration.
---------------
I guess all we can do now is waiting.

Is that for US applicants as well? My understanding is that no decisions, other than tax, have been issued with respect to US applicants.

I have applied by Dec 1, but I've received my completion mail later...so my question is: Does anyone know, if they just answer to applicants which have applied by Dec 1 and have received the completion message by Dec 1 or is just the submission of the application relevant?

I mean, the wording is quite clear, isn't it? But still...

Has anyone called the admissions office today? I wonder if they plan on sending a big batch of responses today.

hey. spoke with the NYU office. They are working today and through the week. They will be sending decisions through the week.

Also, just got rejected by Columbia. Bad grades did me in, i guess. Ms. Polo had once informed me that grades were "monumentally important" at CLS.

Lets see how the other two pan out. Keeping my fingers crossed. Though i feel like a plane hit by a missile at the moment. Duh!

pretty light - 56% aggregate in law. Had a first class in my earlier degree in commerce and economics, but that was only in the final exams - did really poorly in the internal exams (these are not counted towards one's degree scores though).

What means 56% in marks and ranking?
