Hi all!

Does anyone know whether admissions decisions are being made according to regions, date of application or any other criteria?

I'm from Belgium (but French).... But my fiancée is in Michigan. ;-) Hence I will most probably go to Michigan. The only thing that would get me away from there would be... Harvard. :D

As for scholarships, they should be awarded around March-April. According to their web site, around 30 to 40 % of all LLM students get an offer for a scholarship. So, congrats to all the others and for those who haven't heard yet, keep up your hopes!

Hi !

I have also been accepted to UoM, as well as Fletcher and Northwestern, Fletcher has been the only school who has given me an answer on financial aid, and it is my first choice. But I wish to hear back from the other schools regarding my financial aid in order to decide.

I don't know what the criteria for notification is, but I submitted my application on early december.

Hello! I have a doubt about this scholarship thing!
I haven't applied for any specific scholarship at UMich, does it means that I am out of the pool of students that can receive it or it is based solely on merit?

tks!

That what UoM wrote on their web site about financial aid:
"Our resources are allocated on the basis of financial need and on the basis of academic achievement. More than half of our students receive outright grants and scholarships, in an average amount of about $10,000; the smallest award is $5,000, and the largest covers full tuition".

From what I know about two of my friends who are UM graduates, this seems a "rule" untold. They both obtained LLB and LLM in home countries piror to LLM studies at UM, with sort of publication - looks fit for the reputation of UM as being academic.
