The Definitive 2011 Cambridge Thread

Good Gosh

My camsis status has been updated this morning, I've been accepted into Trinity.

Holy cow! I've heard they only take one LLM student per year - you must be chuffed!

I'm quite surprised actually. I didn't get funding but I got into Trinity.. go figure! But I'm really happy!! I'd have been happy with any college, it's Cambridge after all, but Trinity is an added bonus ;)

congrats! what's your background dupont and where are you from?

I'm from Canada (the French speaking province of Quebec). I got my LL.B. In civil law in 2009. We don't have a grading scheme for degrees here but I was certainly in the top 5%. I was called to the Bar last July and have been in the private practice since.

don't despair just yet..there are three llm's there this year.

Pfft... my application has already been rejected by Cambridge! I'm only lurking here because there's more discussion going on here than over on the Oxford thread. :)

Quick question: do we have to accept/confirm a college offer?

We do, but I guess only after we receive an e-mail from the college itself..

Has anyone received such an e-mail?

I've just got accepted into St Catharine, but haven't received anything from the college yet..

I haven't, that's why I was asking. I guess that would explain why my offer is still not "confirmed" on camsis even though I've met all my conditions ?

I guess so There has been no change in my Camsis regarding me meeting the conditions (I have just sent the papers), so I dont know if the same will happen to me..

So far my status is Applicant Accepted Offer and Accepted at St Catharine's College.

My camsis status is the exact same as you. However, when I go to the "conditions and comments" page, all my conditions have now disappeared (but it took 2-3 weeks after they received my docs). Let us know if your status change to "offer confirmed" when they have processed your documents.

I received a letter from Newnham and had to complete/send back a form indicating my acceptance of their offer. (I was rejected from Emmanuel, didn't put a second choice when I applied.)

Quick question: do we have to accept/confirm a college offer?

Same here with me. I spoke wt Ms Wade on Wednesday, 19th May and she promised to send me a mail communicating the decision on Thursday or definitely Friday 20th. Its Saturday, and nothing yet. I guess it means there is nothing to communicate yet. I suppose it should be easier now, as I presume our number, I mean the outstanding applicants has reduced. The waitn continues.

Nope, I just didn't ask directly, but she just assured me of getting a response on those dates
