I decided not to call nor to send an email. I feel sorry for the poor lady given the probable amount od pressing demands....que sera sera! I am waiting for the postman. I'll probably steal his bag away from him and look after the letter myself the minute I spot him, haha..good things happen to those who wait, right? ;)
I'll spend my weekend relaxing (and celebrating my dear friend Jag's offer!) ....cheers!

I've e-mail Ms Malloy, hahaha. I just couldn't wait for it to come by post, given that my country has a terrible postage system. I know that it would be a daunting week for her, but i guess i'll make it up when i get to oxford, haha.

I'm happy to admit when I'm mistaken. It is strange how you presume these things! So, to the two who have been accepted already, what were your college choices?! Oh, and do you eagerly await scholarship news or is the funding not an issue?! I'm not sure how these things really work abroad and, considering we get charged an arm and a leg and international students get charged more, I'm sure you get really fleeced!
University and Lincoln (but maybe not in that order). And funding, well yes, I'm going to have to get some of that. Hopefully some of my scholarship applications work out and pound stays low.

I've dug deep into my pocket and have changed 300 pounds since it is very low now. A positive step towards oxford!

I'll be seeing you in Oxford Jags! I got the same one line email from Mrs. Malloy at just after 5pm Oxford time. I was meeting with a client and then when I returned to my desk the email was there. It took me a while to dig up the courage to open the darn thing.
For everyone else's knowledge, the email I received was a reply to an email I sent to Mrs. Malloy this morning. Sorry Big Suze, I didn't follow your advice. My wife told (made) me email this morning, probably because she couldn't bear to spend the weekend with the anxiously-awaiting me. Plus I've got some scholarship deadlines to meet as well so this helps a lot.
Wow, this is a super relief! Especially after getting rejected from Harvard earlier this week. Longest week of my life. I hope that everyone else gets their answers soon as well.
Hey...can you tell me the contact details of mrs. malloy...email and phone number would help...

good for you, Alvin! ;)
The idea crossed my mind too but I just wasn't that self confident :) or maybe I'm just superstitious and afraid of jinxing myself in that way, haha...
so I guess your first choice would be ox?

Well, best of luck with them then. I'd guess that anything available to you through the Indian/American (I presume American, Baltic!) governments or similar would be helped instantly by seeing you'll be on your way to Ox. I've no idea on the success rate of these things, just that more funding is available to international students because, I guess, traditionally, some countries thought it better to give them a UK or US HE education.
On seeing that the debate is over and that we are not going to hear anything tonight, I am off to watch the cricket. Congrats to those who have had good news today and good lucks to those who await! Perhaps something will come from this Saturday promise....

We in the States are off to watch the NCAA collegiate basketball tournament. It's an exciting time of year here.
The only crickets we watch are those that hop in the grass during the summertime! In the event that I decide to venture forth to the UK, one of you will have to show me how to play this odd game...
