In Malaysia I think we have around 7...or 10 years of backlog cases. I remember attending a hearing about a drug trafficking case in July 2008 where the defendant was caught in 2002 and a prima facie case has still not been established then!

Hi everyone,
If the condition is language and we (overseas) are required to take and pass IELTS at the 7.5 level, is there any pre-sessional language course to substitute the IELTS score?
Thanx a lot

I like the peptalk, Jag !
Any comments ;)?
Midfielder's basic duty ...
A striker like me doesn't have those qualities. The only thing I do is scoring goals.
Nothing in the back of the Cambridge net though so far !! :)

you need to get the score, no alternatives..

Here comes another week! Good luck to everyone still waiting, hopefully we'll get to join those lucky few sometime soon!

Apparently people who applied to Ox in January will here from them only around 20th March 2009. Loads of waiting..... One entire month....

For Oxford, will we get an email even if we are rejected?

I sure hope so.
I sure hope so.

I too am waiting. I am convinced that I have missed out, but I don't want to check out camsis. If I don't receive an email soon then I assume I have missed out.
I will be interested to see the backgrounds of the people who are admitted. I am an Aussie. I have a good degree (first) for a mid-tier university but I have practised for a couple of years at one of Aus's best firms and before that, clerked to a Suprme Court judge (both jobs were pretty competitive to get).
Oh well, life goes on. haha
I think its too early to take such a view.. The first round was for exceptionals... Only 15 (may be lesser) seats have been allocated out of the 125-150 available. There are at least 3 more rounds (Feb, March, April) to go, and one never knows. One could be anxious, one could be nervous, one could be furious, one could be disgusted, but surely totally giving all and any hope is out of question, at least so soon...
I agree that it is too early to completely give up hope - I am just preparing myself for the worst, that's all.

Might I also point out that Cambridge offers between 200 and 250 offers it is just that only about 125-150 accept. So there should be much much more offers coming out.

I am sure you are right. I guess we shouldn't start worrying for another month or so!

I dreamt last night that I received an offer from Cambridge...if only it were true!
Posted Feb 16, 2009 12:35
Any news today?! I can't stop looking at my email inbox (I'm also rather paranoid that my email will malfunction at the precise moment I may be due an email from Cam!). It is not conducive to dissertation writing!!
Suze, let's hope it comes true! Which colleges did you choose?
