I received the same email and I think it’s just MLF’s protocol to keep a waiting list. The class size is small and I have never heard that anyone got off the MLF waiting list. So sad to say, but do not keep your hopes high.

I got an MLF offer from the waiting list, which I didn't take, so it went even further down the line. It is certainly possible to get an offer.

Just received the MLF waitlist mail as well. Have they actually sent out any offers to waitlisted candidates recently, and receiving the mail means that we were lower on the list? 

Yeah I had already accepted another offer at Oxford plus the programme was hella expensive and I could not afford it.

Did you get it in May, soon after the deposit payment date? It's nice to know that it happens, but I suppose most people rescind their offers simply by not paying deposits and that later in the process it's not that common.
