Well it seems we will indeed have to wait over the weekend to be rejected next week, haha!

This is a silly process. I know things are disrupted at the moment but surely it can’t take all weekend to send an automated rejection email :/

Hello!

I have given the admissions team a call earlier today. They told me that the person in charge of releasing the results is working remotely from home but will probably release all the results by this Friday.

She also mentioned that they will separate the results into two batches (offers and rejection, I reckon) and everything within that batch will be released all at once.

Good luck!

Do we think this means that there’s been some kind of disruption, if they were planning to release all the results by Friday and clearly the rejections haven’t gone out yet?

Luckily, I have recieved an offer for the MJur !

However, I am a bit confused about the academic condition. It only says : "Successful completion of your First State Exam". Does this mean I only have to pass? The First State Exam is the most important exam during my studies and usually universities demand a certain grade in their offers (f.e. Cambridge, Trinity).
Does anybody have experience with that ? Is the offer we recieved final or is it possible that the academic condition is specified or thightened later?

Don’t know if significant but the official FB group seems to be inaccessible: the link is broken and I can’t find it just by searching for it either.

I think so :(
It’s weird because usually they release the offers across 2 days but they didn’t this year.

Would it be sound to try again next year if one wasn’t even waitlisted this time? What do you think?

I still think it is rather tactless of them to issue rejections several days after issuing offers. I applied six months ago.
Oh well.

I’d say it depends on whether you’re still an undergraduate and will have graduated by the time you reapply, as they seem to prefer candidates with degrees already in the bag.
I’m thinking of giving it another shot next year for this reason. On the other hand, I know someone who applied and had an absolutely flawless CV/academic record and is still (presumably) getting rejected on Monday. At this level of competition there’s always an element of luck :(
