Manchester V. UEA

Hi !

I just got conditional offer from Manchester and unconditional offer from Univ of East Anglia, despite its huge name, I kind of worried after reading Mnachester reputation as "commercial university", but I don't really know about UEA as well, does anyone mind to comment ? btw, I'm planning to take commercial and business law.

In the contrary, if you want just to succeed any LLM then go to one of these small universities, I do not know where u heard that its a commercial university but I can tell u that Ive been offered places to study LLM at Durham, UCL, KCL, Nottingham, and finally I accepted Manchesters offer, Ive been studying here for the last 6 months and in spite the fact that it is a demanding programme I enjoy every minute of it

Both are good universities. You might like to note that UEA has an ESRC funded centre for competition policy, so if you were planning on looking at that area of law, UEA would probably have some interesting courses and events. Otherwise, the Universities are very different in terms of location. Manchester is a large city in the N-W; the University is in buildings in the city centre. UEA is a campus university, based outside Norwich, which is a smaller city. The two locations even enjoy different weather patterns and topography. East Anglia is (comparatively) dry; Manchester wet. East Anglia is flat whilst Manchester sits up against the Penines.

Thank you for the info, and perhaps I should apology for my language before by saying that Manchester is a "Commercial University", I mean that Manchester is very famous for its business, not the Law, that's what I'm worried about, I'm afraid that if I graduated from Manchester school of Law, its reputation is not as bright as its business school.
