I've been accepted by LSE, UCL, QMUL, KCL and Edinburgh!...I've rejected my offer from KCL and from Edinburgh...also I'm still waiting for Oxford decision!...What do you think is better between LSE and UCL?...I'd definetely think LSE is much better, but some people have told me that UCL is better on Commercial Law. What about this?

Just read almost all replies in this thread. Really need your insights to clear my mind. In so far, I have accepted offers from Edinburgh, KCL, QMUL and UCL and I havent made up my mind to decide the "one'. Would be nice to have outsiders overview on this. Btw, im taking communication law for my master.

Second issue is that, as suggested by my friend, I accepted all of the offers came to my desk. Would it be a problem if I cancel them once i have decided which to go?

à astudenttobe: I am in the same situation as you, I received offers from KCL and QMUL, waiting for LSE and UCL, and I am looking for the best choice in order to specialize in IT Law (and related subjects such as communications law, media law, computer law...).
I heard Professor Roger Brownsword from KCL was brilliant so right now I go for KCL but I can change my mind.

I think there is no problem if you cancel the programme you did not choose.

Check out Prof Chris Reed for IT Law (I think he's at QMUL).

I accepted an offer from Kings College and rejected it 5 days later. It was no problem, they just changed my online status to "decline". I dont know about the other universities.

i too received an acknowledgement email from UCL.still waiting for the formal letter to arrive by post.hope it arrives soon.
i had actually accepted an offer from QM, because i thought i wouldnt make it to any of the others. but now that i received it from UCL i will be going for this then.does anyone know how can i reject the offer from QM now? wil it be a problem?

@ ashni- i havent heard anything from UCL since that recommendation email. and the offer that was to arrive by post hasnt come as well. so as yet i havent done anything about rejecting QMs offer. i feel its too early and not safe to reject QM before receiving anything formal from UCL.

i've just receiven a rejection from QM.. I really didn't expect this.. And to make things worse, they only took 11 days to "carefully" consider my application..
Now I know I'll almost certain be rejected by UCL and LSE...
I don't even know what I did wrong...

Does anyone know (as fact) whether it is possible to accept and offer from QMUL and withdraw it afterwards without any consequences? I am waiting on my 'formal' letter of offer from UCL through the mail and I do not want to lose my place at QMUL just in case. UCL have said the letter can take up to 6 weeks to reach an overseas destination and QMUL require you to accept/decline within 28 days of receiving an offer. I'm struggling with the time limits and I'm not quite sure what to do.

Any guidance/help would be much appreciated!

I've got one question.. I received my IELTS results today & I already applied to UCL prior to receiving my results. I have my application number, is there a way I could attach my IELTS results now? LSE has that option, but I didn't find it on UCL's page.

you can email them and ask how to send it now. they will probably give u an email id on which u will b required to send your ielts results. i did the same with QM and they asked me to to do this only. so u can try this out.

Hi cathykate88. I finished and submitted my application on the 24 Dec 2010 and received a confirmation from QMUL that my application was being processed on the 5 Jan 2011. I then received and unconditional offer on the 2 Feb 2011. They are quite quick. Good luck.

I also recently received a rejection letter from UCL and a rejection email from Mallesons Stephen Jaques for interview in the same week.
