LSE - LLM 2014/2015 Applicants

Kaphicks

Hi idodee, have you tried the enquiries system?

I have a question on my references (LSE required a second academic reference though I graduated before January 2010). I sent them an e-mail through the enquiries system and now I'm waiting for an answer. Anyway, I believe that this is the LSE's system for applicants to get in touch with them. Rgds.

I will do it. This is very annoying, even Oxford, Cambridge and UCL have a direct e-mail for questions, and I used all three and it was very effective, but LSE for some reason doesn't want to get any e-mails from applicants.

I have used the system and they are efficient in answering. I have also called a few times and they are very helpful.

Hi all,

I received my fourth e-mail, but it says "application is incomplete" although there are no documents missing. Has any of you had this experience? and they have no e-mail to ask them that! arghhh

I got the same experience. You'll certainly receive an email from them in a couple of days. Although your application is complete (and it actually is. All the documents are marked as received) you will get an email saying that one of the documents is still missing and the status of that document on the system will be changed accordingly. You'll send the doc to them again and it'll take up to 2 weeks for your doc to be processed. I experienced the exact same thing!

Although in their e-mail they didn't mention documents missing (it listed all the documents needed as received). I believe it is a technical error or something, but I will know as soon as the tracking website will work in the next 24 hours.

And thanks Kaphicks!

I am SO stressed. I hope I get into any of the 4 UK schools I applied to (PhD programs).

Dear all,

Are there any people who applied to the Executive LLM Program in LSE?

In my tracking system, it says about my second referee that "We have received a reference from ..., but there is no text attached. We require a full academic reference on headed paper."
Does anybody know what is the problem?

I had that problem. You should contact your reference and ask for him/her to send the letter via email on university letterhead and signed.

In my case, it was a technical issue.

I also had this issue. He can also upload the reference himself using this link: http://www.lse.ac.uk/study/graduate/applicant/howDoI/newinformation/newinformation.aspx

In reply to the first question that my brain would scream to get an answer to every time someone said they had received an offer - I received my fourth mail on January 8th!

Congrats. :) Did you apply for the Graduate Financial Support? My application was complete on 8th Jan too but I applied for the school's support so I suppose it might take longer for me to get the decision.

Have your references been submitted? Either way, as soon as you submit the application, you should expect to get your LSE For You account, especially if you register the referees in the reference portal. I submitted mine on 24th January, and got my LSE For You details 2 days later! Kindly contact admissions office.

Contrary to what i expected, LSE is giving out offers fairly quickly! As even though my application to UCL was said to have been completed before LSE's application, it was still sent to the tutor a day after LSE forwarded it to the Laws department. I also received an offer from LSE a few days back but UCL politely asked me to not contact them till feb 20th :| So, way to go LSE!

Hey, guys!

I recieved my 4th email on 22nd November and still haven't heard anything. Does anyone have any experience with whether there's any point in trying to contact LSE? Do they actually give any valuable information or is it more along the lines of you just have to wait and see? Also, does anyone know if there's been a lot of rejections thus far?

Congrats to all of you who've been accepted and good luck to everyone else!
