LSE Applications 2021-2022

Applied - 8 Dec 2020
Received ID - 11 Dec 2020
Status -
[7 Jan 2021] Unfortunately you have been unsuccessful in your application for your first choice course. An email has been sent to you. The competition for places at LSE is intense and inevitably many well-qualified applicants cannot be accepted. This decision is final, and no further comment can be made.

very sorry to hear that, I wish you all the best for other applications! Thank you, for keeping those still waiting updated.

For those whose transcripts have dropped, have you received an offer from the school yet?

My transcript dropped in December, but I have yet received an offer. My LSE for you page is still showing that my application is under consideration.

I read in The Student Room that someone asked LSE and GAO replied saying the mail-out system is having some issues so they said they'll be handing out offers "starting later this month". 263a My transcript dropped too on 14th December.

My transcripts dropped on 4th December and I received my ID in October. My status still says "under consideration...".

I reckon we should expect seeing some offers in the week starting on the 18th:)

Hopefully the offers come soon. I discovered the transcript drop theory on Jan 6 and my transcripts had dropped then. I got my ID in Oct.

Okay, I thought I somehow had missed the letters or something (I even checked if I set my filters right) but it seems this is a common issue. I guess at this juncture no news is good news. Hopefully, we'll all hear from LSE soon!

Hey, I applied late November but, because one of my references was slow, my application was only downloaded on the 4th of December. Since then I have heard nothing except for the email warning about closures over Christmas. No email saying it has been processed or giving me access to the application tracker. Is this normal? Is anyone else in the same position? Unless I am misreading the processing times it looks like they are processing applications submitted on the 8th of January! Worried there's been an administrative error. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Tago, I believe thats quite strange. I applied last week on friday and just recieved an email that says "Application processed - Complete". Maybe you should write them an email or something.

Thank you! this is really useful as confirmation that I should be pursuing this - was worried I was just being impatient. I've sent off an online enquiry but might think of other ways to get in touch if that takes too long. Would be gutted if I spent 80 pounds on an application that was never processed lol

Doesn't it show on your LSE for You application tracker that your application is "currently under consideration"?

I haven't been set up with an LSE for You account, apparently that will come with the acknowledgement email that I haven't been sent.

Yes, the email that I told you about (
LSE Application Processed - Complete
) also points out the URL for your personal 'LSE for You' account.

You should check your spam/junk mail folder once. Mine was directed to that folder.

Hi guys,

I also received an unconditional offer in the portal within the last hour (applied around 20th October). So it seems that they started with offers to re-instated applicants and those who submitted their applications in October.

Best of luck to all!
