LLM UCL / KCL / LSE / QMUL 2017-18

I've been rejected at LSE. They did not send me an e-mail despite saying they have. I had to access "LSE for you" to check that:

"Unfortunately you have been unsuccessful in your application for your first choice course. An email has been sent to you. The competition for places at LSE is intense and inevitably many well qualified applicants cannot be accepted. This decision is final, and no further comment can be made".

Hi, when did you submit your application to LSE?

Almost four weeks ago.

I'm so sorry to hear that! :(

It's really strange that they did not send you an email. Can you see on LSE for you when your status has changed? Perhaps you should contact them. But then, from my experience, the email in itself isn't really helpful .. In the sense that they don't really tell why you've been unsuccessful. They even say that it is impossible to correspond further regarding my application ..

Good luck for your other applications!

They started processing mine two weeks ago...

How do you know that? If I may ask, what's your current status?

My current status is "Received and being processed", and as far as I remember it's been that way ever since I submitted my application .. Thanks! :)

It's all good. I work with arbitration and have already been admitted to QMUL. So I'd probably refuse LSE's offer anyway.

It's the same as yours. The thing is my documents have been approved for two weeks..

That's a relief! I am still waiting for KCL (wish they'd hurry up a bit), but now at least I don't have to worry about QMUL anymore. I also hold an offer for International Business Law btw

I will send an e-mail myself just to make sure I have it in writing.

However, keep in mind that in accordance with the email they can decline your offer at any time after the 4 weeks, that is what it says at least, and that is what worries me.

Has someone writen to kings College it has been already 5 weeks[/quot

So, QMUL, offer holders? what are you going to do with the 4 weeks deadline?

I've just been offered a place at QMUL for public international law. However, I've applied to LSE as well and I'm worried I won't hear back for another 8 weeks - when the deadline for replying to QMUL is 4 weeks time! Is anyone else in a similar predicament?
I am in the same situation, I have already received an unconditional offer from QMUL, while I am awaiting for KCL and LSE to issue their decision. In the meantime, despite the supposed 4 weeks deadline to accept or decline their offer, QMUL has answered me the following: "There is no official deadline for accepting/declining the offer, you can do this any time before the course starts". I suggest you get in touch with them like I did :)

I will personally decline mine, as I got an offer from UCL. Though I haven't declined QMUL yet for the moment, just to see whether they will withdraw my offer by themselves (the 4 weeks deadline has already passed for me). If, by the end of December, the offer is still there, I'll withdraw, so I can let my seat for someone else.

QMUL answered my e-mail like this:

"Many thanks for your email.

Generally we would ask you to accept the offer within the month, however you still be able to accept the offer past one month. By accepting the offer you confirm your interest and you still will be able to decline or defer your offer prior course commencement. You should not make any payments until you are certain that you will be taking the course."

Considering I work with arbitration, I will probably accept it. I am still waiting for UCL and KCL, but I have the impression those LL.M courses are worse than QMUL's in my field.

Well done!! Many congratulation! You were one of the first (at least at this forum). When did you apply? When did they say that your documents were fine and that they would start reviewing your application?

Many congratulations! :-) I think you are among the first ones here to get one. Mine is still being processed.

May I ask whether your status has changed from submitted, before receiving the offer, or has your status changed directly? I'm asking this, because UCL has an "intermediary" status, one day before the offer is made.

Mine changed from "we will now begin processing it" to "unconditional offer" or something like this. I received an e-mail first.
