Hi guys, for those who have received an offer from LSE, under 'Conditions of Offer or Notes', mine writes:

"Degree with upper second class honours -
You are required to obtain your Bachelor's degree with upper second class honours."

Does that mean I have to reach >60% or >65% (as traditionally requested?) What are your thoughts?

They indicated in the offer email that I am required to obtain second upper honours with at least 65%.

I see.. thanks! It wasn't stated on mine - just a 2:1 - so I may just call them up to check!

Hi guys,

I've receiced a conditional offer from King's. Nevertheless, on the letter, it's written "This offer is conditional on your meeting the following requirements:" and nothing written under it (except "You must provide evidence of meeting the condition(s) of your offer by midnight (GMT) on Wednesday, 31st August 2017.").

Therefore, I am not sure what the conditions are. I guess it's my English test I am going to pass in 10 days but I'm not sure. Could anybody help me ? I'm planning on calling them but the admissions office is closed until the 3rd of January.

By the way, do we all agree that King's College is the best place to study Competition Law ? It's what I heard from a lot of people, the professors and lecturers are great... but I would like some advice. I did not apply to LSE, UCL and QMUL yet.

Thanks !

Hi guys,

First of all, I would like to wish you all a happy new year - hopefully 2017 will bring us good surprises in terms of LLMs and our studies in general :)

I wanted to ask whether any of you have submitted your application to King's College for an LLM at the beginning of November, right after their outage, and still have no response from them? I sent my application on the 1st of November, if I am not mistaken, and my status is still "Submitted".

Thanks!

That's so strange, have you contacted them regarding your application? I think I will send them a message through their online application system if I don't get a response by the end of next week, although I'm afraid I might sound too "pushy" and impatient :-/

I've done both (TOEFL iBT and IELTS), IELTS is definitely easier (in my opinion).

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding the application process of King's College, did anyone of you submit a reference letter? They are not required anymore but I want to submit one anyway.

A reference letter is not required for KCL. According to a friend of mine who applied there last year, they didn't ask for one as well.

I think they'll only ask for one in case they really need it (my guess is that if the personal statement is excellent but the grades are not satisfying enough according to their standards, they might ask for a recommendation letter to see if they can give you an offer anyways or not).

Hi everyone! :)

My name is Petra, I'm Italian and I got an offer to study at KCL in 2017.
Anyone starting there in September?
It would be nice to get in touch before getting there, for sharing thoughts (and, as far as I am concerned, also a loooot of fears :P)

@Umika, I got a tad impatient and decided to send them a message yesterday asking whether it was possible to get some updates regarding my application (I told them I am an international student, so I need a response soon so I can organise myself asap). Got a conditional offer today. :)

Hi there! Congratulations! :) Did you apply for a specific LLM, or the general one? What are your areas of interest?

I just got an offer from KCL, so I might go there in September! Although I also got an offer from UCL, so I'm still hesitating - though I have months to decide so I'm taking my time. I'm also waiting for three other universities, which happen to be my top three, so we'll see. :)

Hi and nice to meet you :)

I actually applied last year, but, due to some issues at work, I had to defer my LL.M. to 2017 academic year. Now KCL has sent me an e-mail asking me to choose my LLM specialism, but I'm still very confused and undecided (with an orientation to International Business Law, so far).
What specialism are you interested in?

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you then, for all the pending applications ;)

Oh okay! That's interesting. :) Out of curiosity - do they easily accept deferrals?

I'm more into public international law and international humanitarian law (hence the 'ihl' in my pseudo :)), so I think I'll take the transnational law specialism, although it depends on the modules offered. We'll see.

Thank you for your kind wishes! Fingers crossed indeed :)
