LLM UCL / KCL / LSE / QMUL 2017-18

Who has received an offer from KCL? I submitted the application 1 month ago, but have not heard anything from KCL.

Same there ..

Last year, if I'm not mistaken, decisions started being rendered around mid-december.

Actually, according to last year's thread (https://llm-guide.com/board/uk-ireland/kcl-ucl-qmul-lse-llm-2016-2017-applicants-189563), people started receiving offers from mid-November .. :-/

Hi!

I applied to QMUL and UCL too! I got an offer from QMUL which is super cool. Although I would like to wait before accepting the offer because QMUL is not necessarily my first choice and I didn't even apply to some other universities (namely Copenhagen and Oslo) whose application processes are not even open yet! So, does anybody know if accepting the offer from QMUL is in any way binding or something like that?

Many thanks for you answers :)

I've just been offered a place at QMUL for public international law. However, I've applied to LSE as well and I'm worried I won't hear back for another 8 weeks - when the deadline for replying to QMUL is 4 weeks time! Is anyone else in a similar predicament?

I am in the same situation, I have already received an unconditional offer from QMUL, while I am awaiting for KCL and LSE to issue their decision. In the meantime, despite the supposed 4 weeks deadline to accept or decline their offer, QMUL has answered me the following: "There is no official deadline for accepting/declining the offer, you can do this any time before the course starts". I suggest you get in touch with them like I did :)

That's a relief! I am still waiting for KCL (wish they'd hurry up a bit), but now at least I don't have to worry about QMUL anymore. I also hold an offer for International Business Law btw

However, keep in mind that in accordance with the email they can decline your offer at any time after the 4 weeks, that is what it says at least, and that is what worries me.

Has someone writen to kings College it has been already 5 weeks

All I know for KCL is that last week, they contacted me (on the 28th of November) because I had a minor issue with my transcript and they needed some clarification regarding the degree I'm currently undertaking - so I answered them promptly, and they told me the next day (on the 29th of November) that everything was ok now and: "We will now begin to start processing your application."

I submitted my application on the 1st of November .. I guess it means that they have only started to assess applications last week .. But then it's just a wild guess, although it would be great to hear back from them soon, as it has already been 5 weeks .. :(

Has anyone called them?

I've been rejected at LSE. They did not send me an e-mail despite saying they have. I had to access "LSE for you" to check that:

"Unfortunately you have been unsuccessful in your application for your first choice course. An email has been sent to you. The competition for places at LSE is intense and inevitably many well qualified applicants cannot be accepted. This decision is final, and no further comment can be made".
