Anyone else here wo got an offer for the MCL but was rejected for the LLM? When I applied for the MCL it was my biggest fear that in fact they might not accept you then for the second program, so you don‘t take two spots and also to push the MCL - they clearly state otherwise on the website, but we all know how things work, so I‘m really keen on knowing how those accepted for the MCL did on their LLM application

I really doubt that would come into the decision but if you really want to know you can easily submit an FOI request asking how many applicants applied for both the MCL and the LLM (anonymized obvs) and which percentage got rejected from both, accepted for both or only accepted for one.

So the GAO website says "For those applicants who do not receive a decision within 12 weeks, it is likely your application has been placed on a reserve list and you should contact your department to check its status."

It seems like there's too many of us for that to be the case but as a matter of interest could everyone who's still under review comment as such?

For what it’s worth I think there’s too many of us under review for us all to be on the reserve list, but I really don’t know what’s taking so long

Guys, calm down. I was there, I know how nerve-wrecking this is. When I finally received my admission 2 years ago, I was at a conference absolutely not expecting the email. It was so much better than refreshing the website every second. And please think twice using words like "misery" etc. Really? We, LLM applicants to Cambridge are one of the most privileged (God, I hate this word) groups of people. Get your act together, do something good in the meantime and be freakin happy and grateful if you make it.

True... but God, you're obnoxious.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings. Calling someone obnoxious without an argument truly proves your fitness to be a Cambridge student...oh, wait.
