Hi,
Were you on the waiting list for last year or did you defer your offer? Because to have an offer this soon is rare. I too have an offer for Ustinov College for 2010, but I was on the waiting list for last year, unfortunately, no more places were available.
I am not sure if I will accept Durham's offer yet though as I'm also applying to LSE, UCL and KCL. I will see what happens. If I go to Durham, then I'll look forward to seeing you there! :)

Hi. I'm going to Durham next year and applied for Int Trade and Commercial Law as well. However, there is a mistake and they confirmed that my course is General LLM !??!? (btw, it's also interesting, so, why not, lol) Im asking them to fix it. I am assigned to St Hild & St Bede but I'm still considering about it. I prefer Castle College and might apply for it later. Hope to see u guys in Durham next year ^^

Hi)
You'd better call them to fixthis problem.
and what is the difference btw castle coll and ustinov?
I'm assigned to ustinov.

University College (also called "Castle") is the most posh college in durham university. it is a minute away from the law department and just across palace green library and other rooms usually used by the law department.
ustinov college is exclusively for postgraduate students. it is where u find 95%+ of the chinese population of durham.
hope that helps.

Hi all,
Yesterday i got an e-mail from Durham saying this..
"We have considered your application for the above course, and would like to inform you that we are recommending that an offer of admission be made to you. If this offer is confirmed by the University, you should receive an offer letter within the next few weeks.
Please note that you should wait for the official offer letter before making any arrangements to study at Durham."
I'd like to ask all of you guys... What does it mean??
Do i really get the offer from them?? or not ?? T T
Thx so much..

no need to worry mate... you'll be receiving a formal offer from the University in due course. The British are fond of formalities. Whilst American universities merely say you are accepted or admitted, British universities extend a formal offer which you have to formally accept lest your place will be given to those waitlisted.

Hi all,
Perhaps, there're some technical probs with their system. Coz I just recieved the e-mail from Durham yesterday, saying this..
"Many thanks for applying to study at Durham Law School. Durham University's admission office are currently having a problem withthe system concerning offer letters. Please don't worry if you have not received yours yet, they arecurrently working their way through them now.
However, these could take up to 3 weeks.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused."
..Keep waiting++

I received it by post and e-mail.and you?
I even went to Durham,to have a look at Uni before accepting the offer, while I was in the UK.
really nice small town) lots of students)you'll like it)
Yes, I know this system, for my country nothing new. You just have to receive your offer letter, this is a significant part of getting visa.and financial statement is 25% of this points.
no need to worry))
