My understanding is that it can literally be from a few weeks (excluding holidays, so pretty much none of the last month counted) to a few months. They do actually read every single application and there's no short-cut "in" aisle for applications so it can take a while.

I have received an unconditional offer from Essex for international human rights llm. I was in the process of applying to Warwick and Nottingham for human rights program only. Shld I continue to apply or does any one believe ( like me ) that Essex has the best program. Please give me suggestions.

Dear all,
For those of you who will join a human rights degree at Essex next year, the Essex Human Rights Alumni Association (EHRAA, www.ehraa.org) has organised, as every year, a discussion group on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/essexhr2014/. Feel free to join it!
Best,
Sylvain (EHRAA President)

I wouldn't bother continuing to apply to Warwick. When I was applying for LLMs, I started an application for another human rights programme when I ran into the Director of that programme at an event. I explained I had been accepted at Essex and another Uni, and he said to me, "If you want to do human rights and you don't want to specialize in X, then you should take the offer at Essex. If you want to specialize in X, then come and study with me." The truth is, even with X - an area I won't name because it would make obvious who I was talking to - Essex has a premier scholar. I stopped my application then. Never regretted it.
