Congratulations to all those who got offers!)
How many of you are actually on their final undergraduate year?)
I know it’s been asked before, but frankly speaking, how good are you profiles, anyways? What is it you think made your candidacy stand out?) Do you have any tips for those applying next year? please, any suggestions are appreciated!)

Don't feel so disheartened. I am sure plenty of other opportunities would open up for you :)Am so broken. I got rejected and yet I had gotten an admission last year. I failed to get funding and hoped to get it this year. Happy for all those who got admitted ( Please grab the opportunity at all costs) and to all those waiting on responses, good luck.
Thank you:-)

Hi guys!
Another offer holder here. I have been trying to find the syllabus of the papers offered to have an idea of the content and expected readings but I have been unsuccessful. Do you have any suggestions on how to obtain them or any insight about the papers?

Have received offers for the MCL and the LLM but struggling to decide between the two courses. Anyone else in the same boat?
Posted Mar 04, 2019 22:30
Between the Cambridge LLM and MCL, I would choose the LLM in a heartbeat, here are my reasons:
- the LLM is a well known degree type, even outside of the legal community, the MCL is not
- the MCL is a very new degree, so it's future is not so predictable, while the LLM goes back to a lot more years and is unlikely to disappear in the near future
- you can do a pure corporate focused LLM depending on your selected courses (actually, some of the full year corporate courses at the LLM are much better then the MCL modules, and you can only choose one from them if you do the MCL)
- the LLM is much cheaper (if you are from an EU country)
- if you change careers and do something else than corporate law, the LLM title will be still useful, the MCL is not really
The advantages of the MCL:
- the Deals course can be really good for someone who has never been involved in corporate transactions before,
- smaller cohort --> more attention from professors, possibly tighter community, a bit of exclusivity once the degree gains traction
- more subjects (not just 4)
- not just lecture based courses
In sum, the MCL seems to be better only in terms of the educational experience. Otherwise, the LLM is a better degree.
In fairness, I have never done any of these programs, so this is just an outsider's opinion.

Hey guys, I had a question about funding. I believe we all indicated that we'd like to be considered for funding. Might anybody have any insight into the process? How likely are students to get funding from these sources (i.e ones that we do not need to apply for, but are instead automatically considered for?)
Many thanks!

Congratulations to everyone who has received offers so far :) To those who did, I was wondering if I could dm some of you to ask what made you stand out as an exceptional candidate? I'm interested in applying to LLMs in the next few years.

Hey guys!
I got my conditional offer almost a week back. (On 28th February) but my applicant portal still doesn't reflect the same. It still shows 'Under Review'. Is anyone facing the same issue?
Posted Mar 07, 2019 10:19
Congratulations to everyone who has received offers! Is anyone still under review by department? I applied to the MCL and suspect that decisions will take longer considering the deadline was one month later than for the LLM

I have applied for MCL as well, and my status is still under review by the department.
