Same

No change for me yet. It’s getting real annoying.

Actually fed up of checking, I really wish they just gave one date and were organised enough to respond to everyone (in or not) on that day. All those application fees and endowments don't seem to be going to much use :/

The worst will be, if they go beyond their specified deadline, which I guess is not unlikely :(

Hopefully tomorrow is the day for all of us. Until then, I've got me a new avatar picture. #ForeverDC

Did anyone here apply for that Gates Cambridge Scholarship?

Exactly. I (and I am sure I'm not alone) can make it to March 15 but I am not sure about what comes next :-D

I would want to assume that successful applicants should get their offers first before any contact is done in relation to Gates Scholarship applications. According to the website, the departments should have completed their own short listing by the end of February. This will be followed by the short listing by the Trust -which should be happening now. The Trust can't short list unless they have the offer decisions of departments in hand.
Most of us are awaiting decisions by the DC. I would want to think that the decision process is still ongoing at this point in time. As such, like with the presumed timelines we all hoped for, I would not even waste brain energy to read into anything at this point (especially with the vague language). This period of wait is absolutely unprecedented for whatever administrative reason. By this time last year, the majority got their offers (and rejections). So far, we've heard of a couple offers; who knows, maybe those were sent out to meet the Gates deadline. We just have to wait until whenever they complete their decision process.

Some people already have interviews for Gates (most are PhD candidates):

I'm still at DC. I really don't think that they can confirm all the offers by 15th of March considering the fact that BoGS stage takes up to seven days. The admissions process seems to be very unclear and inconsistent with the information given on Cambridge admissions website.

Regarding Gates applicants, some guy just posted this on the student room:
"Yes, I literally just called them [Gates] and they said that they are in the process of sending out all of the responses now and everyone should hear by Monday 13th March at the very latest."

So I guess we'll know soon

Still #ForeverDC
But going forward, can someone confirm my understanding of the process—if we ever leave the land of #ForeverDC—from here forward?
Path 1: DC Rejects. End of story.
Path 2: DC sends to BoGS. If DC sends to BoGS, unless there is a fatal flaw with your application that the DC didn't have the ability to judge on (meeting the English language requirement, impracticality of obtaining a visa, inability to meet funding requirements, etc.), BoGS approves the recommendation of the DC and offers you either unconditional or conditional admission? So, in short, my understanding is BoGS = admission, barring something extraordinary?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, but it should be noted that failing to meet certain requirements, such as those relating to funding and language, will in principle not bar the approval of the BoGS, but will usually translate to conditions attached to your offer which you will have to meet before a certain date to be able to enroll.
