Got my 'Application unsuccessful' yesterday afternoon, and a similar email followed a couple hours later. Was in top 7% of my class.
That's OK though, I was already 99% sure that the MCL was the course for me anyway ;)

Oh no raradream. I am so sorry to hear that. But you still get to go to Cambridge for the course you really want, which is so amaze. :)
If you don't mind, could you tell us whether you had you been BoGSed for the LLM?

Hey Guys and Girls
I just got BoGS'ed yesterday. Are we sure that being BoGS'ed means that we are 99,9 % admitted, if we have not falsified or misrepresented something in our application?
As for my credentials, if anyone should be interested:
Age: 23 (from Denmark)
LL.B '14.: Uni Cph (top 3,3 % in a class of 483 #no. 15, that is)
2014: Published in nationwide law review
LL.M. '16: Uni Cph Currently holding a GPA that would be the equivalent of a 3.9/4.0 US
Previous semesters abroad: Santander Scholar at Yale Uni '15 & Melbourne Law School Visiting Grad Student '14
Work experience: '13-'15 2 years as a permanent intern with a top tier Danish law firm, '15-now 1 year at another such
Voluntary work: Tutor with Faculty of Law '13, Legal Adviser at Copenhagen Legal Aid '15-now, Student Ambassador with TeachFirst Denmark '15-now
Other stuff: Participant in various talent programmes, one of my referees is an alumni of Cambridge, the other is a legal philosopher, I have been offered at PhD-possibility with my current uni, which I let Cambridge know in the application - actually it was one of the main reasons why I wanted to study at Cambridge; to clarify whether the academic setting would be the right one for me at this time
Future goals: Becoming a jurist in the classic sense of the word

Hey,
My status changed to conditional offer made today. For those who are interested in the timeline:
On 24/02: My status was 'Awaiting decision of BoGS'
25/02: My status became 'Awaiting approval by BGS"
04/03: Conditional offer made. Seeking college membership.
I also emailed Cambridge asking them what the difference between the two BoGS statuses were They replied and told me that they changed my status to awaiting approval because the instruction that they received from the Law Department was unclear so they had contacted them to recheck. Therefore, my understanding is that 'Awaiting decision of BoGS" is almost always positive. However, awaiting approval by BGS can be positive or negative as thats because the Department has not been clear initially.
Good luck to everyone else.

"Application unsuccessful"...
I'm from France. Quite disappointed to say the least as I was top of my class in my master's degree and within the top 3% of my LLB.
Good luck to you guys.

Refused as well ... Given your profile, it's totally ludicrous that they refused you. I'm so sorry for you ... You have a backup ?

Congratulations! I bet you're so relieved now :)
And thank you for the clarification, I found out yesterday that my status changed to awaiting approval and this is absolutely nerve-wracking. I can only hope that nothing is wrong.

Still under the consideration by Degree Committee. Is there anyone on the same boat?

So sorry to hear that. Read your profile in previous messages. Quite astonishing. I am not French but have done my studies mostly in France, and my credentials are nowhere near yours, so I think I am toasted even if I'm still "under consideration by degree committee"...
Hope you have other plans and aren't too disappointed :)

Same here - not sure what their process is with giving offers, then sending out rejections, and then leaving a bunch of people still yet to be considered.

Yes. Thanks lucky04. You are the one who really gave me hope last week. I emailed them because I couldn't bear not knowing any longer. The status also changed about 20 minutes after they replied to me. Dunno if there is any correlation. All the very best to you. I hope you make it as well.
BTW, which country are you from?

I have been told by someone from Cambridge that:
a) they don't assess applications/give out offers by country; and
b) they haven't finished giving out offers.
So there is still some hope - but probably not much for me haha.

Thank you. I honestly have a hard time accepting it... more so because I just learned that a guy I know and did my LLB and Master 1 with, and had very average marks and therefore class ranking, was accepted last year...
Good luck, I hope you'll make it !

Glad I could be of some assistance lilyalex :). I'm from Portugal. Where are you from?
Now I'm wondering if I should send an e-mail too. To what e-mail did you send it? I'll do my best to remain hopeful. At least so far, I haven't found any evidence on any forum of someone getting rejected after being BoGSed, even after they got a awaiting approval status, for the LLM.
Honestly I would rather if they just sent all offers and rejections at the same time, like they're planning to do in Oxford. It would be easier to put your mind off of it.
For all the others that still have the status of under consideration by the committee, I really really doubt that they have stopped sending out offers, we're still in the beginning of March after all. I'm willing to bet that they just receive hundreds of applications, and it takes time to go over them.
The website states that "All Cambridge LLM application decisions will be released by 15 March 2016 for the 2016-2017 programme.". So you should remain hopeful, at least until 15 March arrives.
