Cambridge LLM 2015-16

Optimistic...

Guys,
I know you are anxious and rightly so but in all honesty, until MARCH 2015, you are not going to hear anything from them. That is what i was told by Graduate Admissions.
I was in your shoes last year and i can assure you that anxiety on 10th February will not help you much because you will only hear back in March 2015. Keep your anxiety for then.
I know its hard waiting but you do not have much of an option.

As you can clearly see offers were made by mid-february.....so the fact that last year was an exception to this does not mean that this year will be the same.....

"Awaiting Consideration by Department" here.

Hopefully we will hear back soon. :) Good luck everybody.

Same here, I think we just have to wait. Its pretty unbearable to be completely frank.

Btw, what are your college preferences? I've opted for Queens' College and Darwin College.

Trinity Hall and Queens for me. In retrospect I should have put Darwin instead of TH. I choose them for how many postgrad they take, age of college and proximity to the law faculty, but now I read TH puts LLMs in a building on the outskirts of town or something like that.

I would love to believe that we will hear soon, but March isn't too far away now, so for the sake of my sanity, I'm inclined to believe Optimistic Girl. However it will be a pleasant surprise to be proved wrong. Good luck to all who are waiting, I'm relieved that I have LSE as my backup but Cam is definitely my number 1 choice.

*Gulp*. I put TH first and Downing second. Only put TH first as my current University offers a scholarship for those who go there.

I've almost given up on hearing from Cambridge this month. Maybe, the offers are going to be made in March once again.

I went for Queens' since they supposedly take in a lot of LLM students and Darwin as its quite proximate to the Law Faculty.

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know whether decisions for the MCL are issued at the same time as LLM decisions?

Yeah...I hope that I get into Cambridge but into Queens not TH, although the latter was my first option on my application..

No idea, but I think I may have read on previous years' threads that MCL is first and then they go for LLM, but this could be for Oxford's BCL and Mjur respectively, so i am virutally of no help at this :)

From the FAQ section of the MCL website:

"Once I have applied, when I can expect to find out if I have been offered a place?

By April 30 of the year in which you wish to start the MCL."

Hi. So apart from Gates And Cambridge Trust scholarship, did anyone apply for any other scholarship (via a separate form/process) that may be offered by the Uni/colleges at Cam?

Just received an offer for the Cambridge MCL, does anyone know if the LLM offers will be made soon as the MCL requires a 3000GBP reservation fee to be paid prior to 18 March?

Also, as a corollary of this, are my chances of getting an offer on the LLM pretty good considering I got an offer for the MCL?

Yeah I've a handful of publications and quite a bit of work experience with firms, chambers, in academia and the courts too.

Thanks! From recollection I believe it was the day prior to the deadline, something like the 29 October of last year.
