If it helps - when I applied last year, it didn't seem (from this forum at least) that any early offers were made in January/February.
The first thing that happened for me was a change on Camsis on 14 March (status changed to "awaiting approval from board of graduate studies" or something like that)
Formal offer appeared on Camsis 4 days later, on the 18th of March
Then, on 27 March I got an email from the law department with a formal offer letter.

As someone who was admitted last year, do not expect to hear back from Cambridge until mid March. The same information is reflected on their website. Last year, we had back from them around mid March.

This doesn't really mean anything as (1) they say that all offers will be communicated BY the 15th of March. (2) with the exception of last year the last 3-4 years they started releasing offers in the first couple of weeks of february

He does, but he is a creature of his own. Expect nothing, fear of everything :D.
Jokes aside, personal statement as such is not a part of the application however, there are quite a few questions that will require -personal-statement-like- answers. These would include the classics: reasons for applying, career goals and future aspirations, why this llm and not some other etc. Additionally, you will have a special segment to write a personal statement if you are applying for one of the partner scholarship programs of the Cambridge Overseas Trust - so think these through once the application form is available for 2015-2016. One more word of advise, structure your CV into 2 pages (Cambridge requirement) so that all essentials are there. This took me days to do as my CV had regularly close to 5 pages :(so narrowing down took some time and effort (and some news skills in formatting the text and condensing the letters :D). PM me if you have more questions!
My CV was actually 5 pages long when I submitted it. Wasn't aware of the 2 page limit. I wonder how detrimental this is...

you should be ok, but they probably won't consider your CV at all when making their decision.
if your grades etc are ok i wouldn't worry
however, it would be a good idea to email the law faculty an updated cv

It is no use arguing about something that is clearly elucidated on the website. I suggest you check your CAMSIS in March.

I called admissions yesterday, they were pretty clear that we will start hearing back from them quite soon and as it states on their site EVERY offer/rejection will be sent out BY the 15th of March. You can check previous threads apart from last years, you will then realise that every year offers were released in Feb, except last year

Thank you for getting in touch with them and for the update!
@OptimisticGirl - law01 and the rest of us are being optimistic about hearing from them this month.

llm offers will go out once they're finished phd offers. From what i've heard, most of them have been offered now so I'd sit tight everyone - should be really soon.

is everyone's status still 'awaiting consideration by the department'?
Posted Feb 10, 2015 11:36
Mine is. And I've been obsessively checking it each hour :/

Seriously hope this is true. I've been checking my e-mail & CAMSIS way too often.

Yeah! Although, I encountered a "scheduled maintenance" error a while back.

Ok...back on duty! And..."awaiting consideration by the department". I wonder why it takes soooo long...I mean...they received everything by everybody around mid november. They probably have tons of applications to review but...4 months is half a pregnancy!

anyone willing and able to call them and find out when will we get our offers/rejections?
