Cambridge LLM 2015-16

Hey guys, I am a PhD applicant but because there's no PhD related topic I decided to post here.
My status has changed to awaiting approval by BGS. I had an interview over the telephone about 10 days ago.
Does anyone know around when I will know if I am also offered funding? Because if no funding then no PhD for me... :/

Could you please tell me whether your interview was conducted by the BGS or the degree committee。My status has changed to awaiting the decision by the BGS,but I have no interview yet. Thank you.

Have u also applied for a PhD? The degree committee interviewed me (ie a potential supervisor). They also said to me that they do that for all PhD applicants.
Have u got any clue regarding funding?

I am a current PhD student from China, I am applying for a one-year joint PhD program at Cambridge, so there is no fund available for me from Cambridge or the UK. Also, maybe this is the reason why they don't interview me.

Hi, guys.I am puzzled by the warning sentence "A decision on your application might be pending or or we might be waiting for your supporting documents" in my CamSIS. It has been existing since I completed my application. Even though my status has changed to "Awaiting decision by the Board of Graduate Studies" and there is no list of required documents, the warning information still exists.

I assume it's a caution note that remains there for everyone; no need to worry :) when did your status change if i may ask?

Oh alright! well still I don't think you need to worry about that, it's probably an automatic caution note! According to past posts your status means that you are probably in, so if that's the case well done :D

@ Optimisticgirl

Thank you so much for mailing them! It's such a relief to know that we didn't have to apply using the EAS. The wait is pretty frustrating! Hope we hear from them soon.

My status just changed to "Awaiting decision by the Board of Graduate Studies - Status: The degree committee is satisfied with your application. However, your offer has not yet been approved." I hope you guys are right that this is a positive step towards an offer.

PS: I applied for the LLM, not the MCL. My application was submitted on November 1, 2014.

If it has changed, then you are in. The offer will come in between 3 days to a week. Congratulations.

I submitted my application for the MCL by November 1, 2014. I am not quite sure when my application status changed to 'awaiting approval from BoGS'. I did my weekly routine check today and found this update. Good luck :)

Thank you for the update! For a moment I thought you had applied for the LLM programme. Anyway, goodluck!

I did not get in. Good luck everyone. Hope you get to study in your dream college.

Hello, how did you know you did not get in? Secondly, for LLMs, colleges are merely for accommodation and social life but classes are separate from college unlike undergraduate. Kindly clarify.

My application status changed to 'application unsuccessful'. In a few hours I received an email telling me that the university is not making me an offer. I am still very upset. This happened two days ago.

For a moment I thought you were an LLM applicant. It is a pity you were rejected but that should not wear you out. After every fall, simply stand up, dust off and move on. One who fails hundreds of times will always be better than one who never tried. Your best years are ahead of you.

I am so sorry to hear that. I am surprised that you did not get in even after reaching the BoGS stage. Was there a problem with your grades or something? I wish you lots of luck for your other applications. You must be really good to have reached the BoGS stage.
