I am so sorry to hear that. I am surprised that you did not get in even after reaching the BoGS stage. Was there a problem with your grades or something? I wish you lots of luck for your other applications. You must be really good to have reached the BoGS stage.

Maybe the BoGS also has to approve or inform unsuccessful applications?
No idea, really, but try not to be so upset... this doesn't mean you don't have great qualifications and skills. They might just be looking for a different profile. We never know.

I think the problem is that the status did not mention anything about theem being satisfied with his/her application. Or this is just me trying to convince myself that no such thing will happen to me.

Does anybody know if offers and rejections are sent out at the same time? Because that would be quite illogical. Since they do not operate waiting lists, I guess they first want to make sure that everyone holding an offer is committed to enroll. According to this, offers should be made first...?

On the other hand it is also true that they have tons of applicants...so...some of them can be rejected quite soon (if their profiles do not meet any/most of the requirements). Ok. I got it: most of the offers and rejections are sent out at the same time by the 15 march. Some others (both offers and rejections) are notified later, according to places still available (people holding offers that for some reasons decide not to enroll)

I feel this is not a good system. Someone with an offer should have some time to consider and accept because she will have many other applications also. Cambridge cannot take a call on the class until everyone responds yes or no. Since they say last offers are on Mar 15, it does not give much time to decide on whether to offer to more people or not.

There is still no update to my status. I find it unusual that someone has said he/she got an LLM offer.

We are almost into March now. Maybe we'll hear from them in the coming week. Enjoy the weekend!

The thing is that they do not care of us that much...I mean...they try to select the best students but still they are more interested in filling classes. And sending out more offers than places actually available is quite risky...what if everyone shows up? Will they build and extra building :-)? I guess before march 15 offers are made on the basis of the places available (maybe 1% more than those) and some applicants are notified later...it is true that if you do not hold an offer/are not rejected by 15 march...you still have chances but very little...

Asian LLM applicant here. My status has also been changed to "Awaiting decision by the board of graduate studies" with a note that "The degree committee is satisfied with your application However your offer has not yet been approved"

Fyi - My last time checking camsis was on Thursday so the status must have been changed either Friday or Saturday.
