Thanks, guys. I clicked on the one pasted by HomerJ but was unable to find anything there about the LLM. Lots about other graduate programmes, but nothing about the LLM.
Is there an LLM specific link?

Hi everyone, the link is to a general Cambridge forum. There is a particular law section but it is quite outdated so I just read the "applying" section which is still quite helpful and current. Actually students and professors (eg: SImon Hopkins is very good) answer your questions and I imagine the questions relating to the cambridge trusts are the same across departments.

Here is the answer to the cambridge trusts question:

Not very hopeful.

misskatie, which college did you apply to to get funding? did you know before hand that they offer funding for LLm's? I worry that I should have done more research when selecting colleges. Maybe some are more likely to award funding to LLM's than others, or some have special scholarships set aside for LLm's??
I find the whole college thing convoluted and rather exhausting...

to those who have been accepted, i ask: any updates re colleges or scholarships/funding on camsis?
I got the acceptance email 5 or so weeks ago but the camsis wasn't updated until two days ago. it indicates "offer set" (with letter to come by post), but no word on colege member ship or funding. anyone else in this situation??
also, regarding the conditions, it says "non-standard" academic condition (what does that mean??)

Hi,
Congratulations to those who have recieved an offer. I would like to know if any one from INDIA has recieved an offer. I read on this forum that they select people geographically, can ppl who know abt the admission procedure enlighten me regarding this? as I never heard something like this before.

There is a slight misunderstanding, they dont select people geographically, the considered application geographically, if you ask me what is the difference, they look at application area wise, like the best Indian students can be narrowed down among the Indians. If you have got 60% marks and someone in US got a 2:1or a CGPA of 4out of 5, how would they rate it?? That is what I was able to logically infer from their conversation.

I applied to Sidney Sussex and I did know about funding beforehand. Gonville and Caius also offers funding just for law students. You have to fill out a separate application form though. Pembroke, Trinity etc also have research studentships for all disciplines but I think they may only apply to PhD students so I didn't apply.
I wouldn't worry, I am sure something will come through for you. If you are female there is also specific funding through women lawyers associations and federaions of graduate women which may help.

I am from Australia and although my camsis is updated I haven't received anything via post. I imagine it will be a while until we do considering the course doesn't start until October.

Thanks flygirl. Any word on colleges for you? Did you hear from ox yet?
Posted Mar 21, 2007 19:06
I have heard from Oxford now so deciding between the DPhil there and a PhD at Cambridge. Very hard decision. I have heard Cambridge is a much friendlier place but Oxford has a better reputation in jurisprudence (which could be a good and bad thing - I don't want to focus entirely on Hart!) and more crossover in the faculty with law and political philosophy. So hard.
I have heard back from Trinity and Gonville and Caius but only because I applied for PhD funding (which doesn't apply to LLMs).

My Camsis got updated with Offer Set and guess that the paper work will follow shortly.
Has anyone who has received their info by mail got a 'conditional offer - subject to finance'? Do you know what documents you need?
Thanks
