I wonder what's the order they're using for issuing results. At least the PAO seems not to be handing out offers in a chronological way.

I'm guessing it depends a lot on your preference colleges. Those of us selected more popular colleges may need to wait longer for our conditional offers, but smaller colleges may proceed a lot faster.

No, your application is not sent to the colleges until *after* you've been accepted to the programme. It really is just random, but people seem to prefer thinking there's some great sign behind everything :P

Commiserations to all who have unsuccessful applications.

For others, does the lateness of the LLM's offers mean admission to colleges will be disadvantaged? At least, those with late offers might not get their first or second preferences if everyone else in other degrees have taken up the postgraduate quota? Or is it by degree that it works, or different by college?

Your portal being updated to PAO later than the rest doesn't necessarily mean that you did in fact move there later, since someone would still need to manually change your portal status. That said, those who receive their offers later than the others within the same programme (as colleges will have reserved spots on a programme basis) generally do tend to be pooled to the mature colleges, since (unlike undergrad) postgrad college admissions is a bit of a first come, first served kind of thing. The most popular first pref colleges tend to be filled up early, usually around now.

Thanks. I suppose though that given the number of LLM students receiving offers appears to be low, out of the number of those at PAO stage, that most colleges still won't have filled their quotas.

I do wonder what the colleges look for in assessing applications. If not academics, then the CV and application more generally? Do they receive the information on race, religion, straight/gay &c. that we provide?

They do have some diversity stuff in their assessment to fill their quota, but I think that's more about nationality than ethnicity, etc. The rest, lord knows, but it appears somewhat more like a first come, first served thing to a larger extent than undergrad admissions, at least.

I’m at PAO, and just worried about my documents – I sent an unofficial transcript as opposed to buying one, is this a potential issue??

They don't have a habit of rejecting a potential paying customer for this. Certified copies of your transcript is a standard offer condition for them anyway. Worst case you'll also get asked to provide the physical original transcript in person at your college at some point during your stay if you're one of the lucky few to be randomly selected for providing this.

Nope. I also got PAO’d around that time. I have asked the PAO office for an update using the form on their website. I shall inform here when they respond.

hey, been lurking on this thread for a good few weeks now but finally decided to get involved lol. I was PAO'd on the 21st Feb - that's brill you've asked. I was wondering when an 'acceptable' time to message them would be because obviously, the Cambridge postgrad website says it should take approx 7 days for the PAO office to process your application. It doesn't seem as though they have stuck to any of the deadlines they publish for a good while now though1f602

I’m quite sure most people who moved around the 16th of February (like myself) will be getting an email today.

Not exactly, but this would indicate that it shouldn't be long now

"We are currently processing offers of admission where recommendations have entered our worklist on 16/02. This is when the degree committee would have updated the system that they wish to recommend you for an offer. We will update this article as regularly as we can. Thanks again for your patience.

Thanks! This is helpful. I wonder why some applicants that were PAO'd before the 16th already got their offers. Perhaps they're in the home pile rather than the overseas?

I did notice that a few of the people who received offers slightly quicker were internal Cambridge students but not sure if that has any relevance

I've got a question if someone can help me: If I haven't submitted my IELTS test along with the application, do they expect me to submit it in order to receive an offer? I moved to PAO on February15th, and I wonder whether this is the reason I have not received anything yet.
