to those stuck on PAO, it will come in! My offer took 18 days to come.

looking at this forum does nothing but increase anxiety (at least for me).

I am still stuck in “under review by the department”.

and you will still get your offer :) I know others who are still stuck too.

Hey guys, is there any kind of group/group chat for those accepted into the PhD?

Also, seeking college membership for 32 days now, which I feel is ultimately gonna hurt my chances of funding at the college level. Seems like applying to Trinity as a first choice was a mistake lol

No PhD WhatsApp that I'm aware of.

Trinity tends to fill up fast, but you should at least still be in the run for some of their studentships, provided you put them as your first choice and sent the form. Have you been rejected at Trinity and awaiting your second pref decision or has there been complete radio silence for 32 days?

Complete radio silence. I saw from old forum threads that some people took up to 6 weeks to eventually be accepted into Trinity. One of the two sources of funding of theirs that I'd be eligible for will be decided on May 31st, so pretty safe to say I'm not in the running for that.

At the moment I'm mentally preparing myself to go through the whole process again next year cause I scoured the available funding sources and found that there's very little I'm eligible for, sadly.

I didn't select a college. When will I know who will have me ? Can someone tell me where on the application form we say if we do or do not want accommodation. I remember clicking that I didn't want accommodation but now I do but I can't see where the button is in my downloaded application. Or am I going mad and is that question not asked ? thanks

I also choose the open application. I don't remember the "accommodation" thing.

Hi,

I saw on the student room that some people also had the same problem and it turned out to be a computer glitch, which was fixed after they emailed. I think there is no harm in checking as it has been quite a while.

Just to update: I was stuck in PAO as well, emailed them Monday, got a reply Tuesday that they're waiting on the faculty to clarify conditions, graduated yesterday and emailed both the faculty and PAO again today, this time the faculty said they clarified the conditions and are waiting on PAO, and received my offer now an hour ago.

As I have the same generic conditions as any other German applicant in *ever*, I doubt they actually needed to clarify stuff and just forgot my application at one point lol

No bearing on Cambridge Trust. You'd only become ineligible for the scholarships you competing for in the college that didn't accept you; there are colleges that require you to put them as your first option for some of their scholarships, but technically you were never in the running for those.

Got rejected by Trinity today, so that's probably it for me. No Trust awards that I'm eligible for that haven't been awarded yet and now I'm out of contention for college awards too. Sucks.
