BCL offer (conditional, ha)!
I wouldn't worry because last year they seemed to trickle them over the day, and a couple of days after. I don't think they send the out in a batch

I just received a rejection from Marianne Biese for the BCL programme, which is disheartening to say the least.

They get to the point, don't they?

Best wishes to other applicants who are waiting anxiously for good news.

(Still waiting for an MJur email over here)

Hi guys,
Please don't freak out if you haven't received any scholarship email - I haven't (even though it seems I am eligible) but still received a BCL offer this morning!

Marianne's email asked me to look at the attached PDF. With some trepidation, I open the attached letter, which read as follows:

"I am writing in connection with your application for admission to the Bachelor of Civil Law. The application and supporting materials have now been carefully considered by the Director of Graduate Studies, but I am sorry to tell you that your application has not been successful. Application to Oxford is extremely competitive and we are not able to offer places to all the excellent candidates who apply. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide feedback on our reasons for rejecting and selecting candidates.

Please note that, if you have also applied for scholarships as listed on the Oxford application form, those applications will not be considered any further.

Thank you for having considered Oxford as a place to undertake graduate work. We wish you every success with your plans for your future studies.

Yours sincerely

William Swadling
Director of Graduate Studies Taught"

It is a stock standard Oxford letter of rejection:

I'm afraid a mini heart-attack is to be expected either way : the email I received was very succint, I was only asked to open the pdf file (just as above). So there's basically no way to know whether you've got in before opening the attached file.

Mine contained the offer and all the conditions to be met.

Fingers crossed for all of you who are still waiting!

I can vouch for the above! I just received a conditional offer for the BCL. I need to provide them with an original transcript of my LLB degree.

Good luck to those waiting for a decision!

Congrats! So which one are you going to choose, MCL or BCL?)

Thank you! I'm not sure. I have a week to think about it as the reservation fee for the MCL programme is due next week Friday.
