Rejection for the MJur here as well. Is Oxford more selective than Cambridge? Last week I received a conditional offer from Cambridge, but I actually did more work on my application for Oxford.

Good question. I was wondering the same. From which country are you? And did you receive the message just now?

I'm from the EU and I would prefer not to mentioned the country as I am raising questions regarding the Fulbright scholarship as well. :) I received rejection at 4:23 p.m. GMT.

Haha, yes - without a doubt. At the very least, Oxford believes it offers a more reputable/more selective/better Masters programme. And this is speaking from knowing quite a few people in the Faculty (as a BA student...)

I guess, this could be proved either way with statistics, but now, it seems that there is an equal number of people getting into one and not the other and the other way. The two institutions might also have a somewhat different focus, that would explain the different admissions.

Everything here is all conjectures anyway.

The Graduate Admissions Office opening hours are 9am to 5pm (GMT), so one shouldn't expect any news until tomorrow morning.

Did you apply early or late into the deadline? I'm wondering if the results are out at the same pace applications were in (given that mine was finished on the very last day and I still haven't heard from them apart from the HEFCE scholarship).

Also I'm guessing some offers were made, this forum's participants are not a representative sample.
