I noticed that there isn't an active thread for Duke's LLM program for the 2024-2025 entry on this forum, so I thought I'd kickstart the discussion. Whether you're already deep into the application process or just starting to consider it, this is the place for all of us to share our background, questions and updates on the application process for Duke's LLM program.



About Me:

To get things started, I'll introduce myself. I'm Michael from Greece and I have a background in capital markets and financial law. The main reason for choosing Duke Law is its diverse class body and the chance to take classes in other departments of the university such as Sanford School of Public Policy.

hey guys! Anyone who got an interview or got admitted so far?

Hey! I submitted my application on 31/10 and received an interview invitation three days later. Oleg was really nice at the interview and focused on the various aspects of the program.
He asked me why I chose the LLM, inquired about my familiarity with the Durham scene, and wanted to know about my short-term plans after graduation. He mentioned that the admission offers would start being sent out in early December as stated on the website.

I also got offered an interview! Hoping it is actually not something everyone gets haha

As people in this forum have mentioned in previous years (Oleg shared that too) they only interview applicants they are interested in and have shortlisted.
FYI I was offered an admission yesterday!

I got an offer email while I was told that they would begin accepting people from the beginning of December. Late November is definitely not considered late! I've seen folks apply as late as January and still get accepted.

I had my interview with the Dean recently. A very friendly conversation that lasted just short of an hour. He said I should expect to hear back before end of month, if not the Christmas holidays.
