Ok, so Melina (tks!) created this private FB group for LSE LLMers to get to know each other

If you've decided for LSE for 2012-13 LLM, join the group!

Athina, regarding your question... I don't know if it's easy, but a friend who lived in London told me it shouldn't take me more than 2 weeks to find a place... as Lorrego suggested, maybe it's easier to create groups of 3 or 4 from the LLM and look for a place together... but i guess it's all chance and luck.

Hi guys, good idea to have the group in Facebook. Do any of you have been not offered a place for accommodation? Unfortunately, I was not awarded and even though I registered to the waiting list, it seems I'll have to look for a place there.

Althina, take a look at their website, it's an independent college only for postgraduates, at an walking distance from LSE. They explain everything there.
Cng, it's gonna be nice to know you and your family over there. I'm going with my wife, but no kids yet.

I am so confused right now!I just checked the courses that are suspended for the next academic year and 2 of them were in my four choices (European Monetary and Financial Services Law and Secured Credit in English, Comparative and International Law ), as they were included in the banking law and financial regulation specialism!!
Should I contact with someone ??And with who??

BI'm also worried because I was interested in undertaking Law of Corporate Finance and Law of Corporate and both courses are suspended.

In addition, I called on Thursday to the graduate admissions to ask about the CAS number, and they told me that they will be sending it in the followinf two weeks!

Best.

Don't start panicking about courses yet. For some of the courses, it is likely to be the case that the course is being changed from a half unit to a full unit, or vice versa, so that the title and the course code changes (for example, in some years secured credit is run as a half unit and some as a full unit, with a different code). For some courses they may not be run because the lecturer is on sabbatical for a year, but usually there is a similar subject that can be substituted. So it's worth waiting for the full list to come out.

just to add, if you look at last year's list of unavailable subjects, a fair number of them became unavailable because they were replaced by other subjects or changed from half to full units (or vice versa)

Guys,

Just as a reference, have you guys received your CAS? I started with a conditional offer and only changed it by June 1st. Considering the importance of the document it would be great with we could informe each other when we receive the email.

Kind regards.

Hi RCMArtins. I called LSE on thursday and the told me that the CAS will be sent the next week. They told me they were not able to sent it before because of the new rules of the UK Border Agency.
