I seriously don't think it's part of the procedure. I only got it because I had emailed her earlier because my CamSis suddenly asked for about ten new documents :p (which turned out to be a technical error).
So there is absolutely nothing to worry about if you haven't got that email, I guess.

That's one technical error! Maybe they subconsciously want your Birth certificate, drivers licence and Tesco clubcard registration.. :p
Thank you for putting my mind at ease!

I've only got a Nectar card. Maybe that's why they still haven't considered my application :D

Does anyone know how we'd be informed of not being made an offer i.e. being rejected? I haven't been rejected (at least not yet) I was just curious as to how we would find out if we didn't make the cut - via email, telephone or Camsis?
Having applied for the LL.M back in mid-October, and still being stuck on 'awaiting consideration..' now, I'm beginning to get very impatient. I want the status to change!

But you may also find it out by calling/emailing Suzanne, but I will say it is currently too early to do so.

According to their website:
"All Cambridge LL.M. application decisions will be released by 15 March 2013 for the 2013-2014 programme. The outcome of your application will be available on your online self-service page. If your application is successful, you will also receive a formal offer notification from the GAO by email. Subject to your meeting the conditions of your offer, your place on the Cambridge LL.M. is guaranteed as soon as your offer appears on the online self-service page.
If your application is unsuccessful, you will learn about this decision first on your online self-service page. The GAO will also notify you by email. The Law Faculty does not contact unsuccessful applicants."
So 2 months to wait!

As I can see that the first link does not work (but the second link does) I'll tell you that the PDF document states that the Board of Graduate Studies are scheduled to meet on the 17th of January, the 7th of February and the 28th of February.
As I stated before I have no idea if this is correct or pertains to us.
Best of luck to everyone.

Yes, that's it thank you. I just cut and pasted it without noticing that it was incomplete.

Damn! So we have to wait until march! I don't think I can handle the anxiety! Wish all of you luck! Hopefully a prompt answer will come!

Not necessarily. The 15th of March is just the day everybody should have heard anything. You could very well get an offer before.

I think it's perhaps safe to say that no-one has been made an offer yet. However, if I'm mistaken, please say so!
I don't think anyone's status has changed yet from 'awaiting consideration...' though.

You r right, I have called the admission office and was told that none of applicant's status has changed. So we are bound to wait.

If I get accepted, I will eat my own face. Twice. *sigh*

This post is just intended as a general warning to all those who skim through the LLM GUIDE posts before making their application to Cambridge, often in order to gauge their chances of success. The warning is this: the wait drives you crazy. Even though Cambridge makes it perfectly clear that you will be in for a long wait on their LLM website, and despite the fact that even a cursory reading of this site and "The Student Room" will give you a fair idea of what you are in for, it is still not sufficient preparation for the true horror of the long, long wait. At this point a rejection would be a relief and there are still about two months to go. I apologise for this outburst to all those with more patience and self-control than I have and that are waiting for some real news.
