Well, this atleast establishes that I am not being treated like a second-class citizen because of my undergrad university ranking!

I just called about the MCL. They are definitely still considering applications. She told me mine was being considered right now and that I would have news in about 2-3 weeks. So it's back to waiting...

and it doesnt necessarily mean that all those people have actually been admitted. I mean c'mon, I can join this group as well and I do not hold an offer, that easy....

i would expect both a round of acceptances and rejections by or on the 15th. It seems as though the 15th is 'judgement day'

Last year they sent offers even in april. It seems that there will be last round of offers, some rejections and about 100 people in the waiting list (or more), who might get offers even in April-May, when offer holders don't accept offer. So let's not give up our hope!

Given they have moved the deadline forward this year, it's not clear what they will do and when...

I agree. This sounds pretty clear, all offers must be made on/before 15 March.

Is there anyone whose status is still "Awaiting for Consideration by Department"?
