Interesting, I'm doing research on similar specializations. I am not sure about reputable rankings, but I've seen Harvard come up quite a bit in discussions here.

I've also been looking at NYU - it seems that the program offers a pretty robust "International Legal Studies" specialization. Maybe you can look into that one as well?

Maybe consider Michigan, too? They have well-known faculty in the area of international law (former ICJ judge Simma, e.g.) and keep a close watch on everything that's going on in the international arena with frequent panels and high-profile guest speakers.
Many people simply seem to overlook the University of Michigan Law School even though it's consistently ranked among the top 10 US law schools, that's why I'm pointing it out to you.

Sarah1990,

Your query for the best seems appalling. I am under the presumption that you have been bitten by the international law-bug and reasonably foresee yourself playing a theatrical part of this so-called prestige community. Nevertheless before you go any further into your research of seeking the best, really, consider a backup.

Honestly, you seriously do not need a specialised degree in international law to practice in international law. The vast majority of international law scholars are commonly academics. These renowned scholars usually gain recognition through their research and ties with well regarded think-tanks.

The selected law schools that have been chatted about upon this forum (website) are all good unis. Unfortunately, for the specialism in International law, there are no possible employment prospects within this discipline. I am not here to troll the thread. Albeit I am replying as a LLMGuide patron who understands your eagerness.

Sarah, you should enquire why do you want to go into international law?

Nonetheless, if you seriously have a passion for international law. Then you should not consider the US for a place of study. Leiden would be your best bet with regards to its remoteness to both European and international tribunals.

Kind regards.
