Im preparing to sit for the bar. Im a foreign trained lawyer, LLB from Pakistan, LLM from SMU. From my research I came across NY, CA,AL and NH as the only jurisdictions to permit foreign trained lawyers to sit for the bar.
NY Bar added recently 50 hour pro bono work requirement which leaves me out given I live in Austin, Texas. I would like to hear from anyone who took the CA or AL bars? Im not looking to amaze the Bar Examiners with my knowledge, nor looking to kill myself studying to pass the bar with the best grade. I need to pass the bar, as simple as that. Any thoughts are appreciated, any questions are welcome.
