hi.... to add a few queries to Chandsai's queries, i m a C.S. (Company Secretary) with a LLB (Bachelor of Law) from India. I am interested in pursuing a career in the "corporate" field only and have no intentions of practising with a law firm as of now. I m interested in pursuing a good INTERNATIONAL degree/ course in law (no specific field of law) from UK or USA which would add value to my profile and experience. I am then keen on having a career in India or UK (though i am aware that getting an employment visa in UK is a big task, but i am still keen on UK!!). Please advise!!

Hello Chandsai & Shikha,
I regret to say that, you said India don't have prospects. Probably you are not aware that Indian lawyers are most in demand. Myself being a Lawyer and having put in extensive more than 12 years in practice have brought me to a stage where I can look up and see through things the way they are. Firther more, as regards, further studies in Law is concerned, you can persue with IPR, Banking Laws, Corporate Law. Shikha, as regards job in UK is concerned, if you are a registered practitioner, you can be member of Bar Council Of UK. Exams are conducted every year. The exam comprise of 4 to 6 modules. Any more advice, you can always mail me. My wishes are with you both.

Yogesh Nayyar
