Hi Carol,
I applied to Lund too and still haven't heard from them. I know 2 people that did the HRs LLM at Lund last year, 1 of them recieved a letter at the end of April and the other in the middle of May.
Hi Steph, I also applied to do the HR LLM at Lund. I was wondering, did the 2 people you know who did it get scholarships? I know it is really competetive - what kind of grades and experience do you need in order to get in? I appreciate any information you have - I don't want to get my hopes up too much!

Hi Patricia,
I actually don't know if they had scholarships, they are both from Central Europe so they would apply to a different fund than me (so it never came up).
1 of them finished top of his class and had won several awards although he had little experience as far as I know- on the other hand he read an LLM in European Law at Lund in the year before applying. The other girl had worked as a lawyer for a few years before applying although she had little experience with Human Rights.
I think it is very hard to guess what Lund want, although good grades and work experience can't hurt. Apparently they like people with language skills. The only thing you can do is wait unfortunately.
Sorry I can't be more help.
Let me know when you hear- I want to know when it is time to give up hope!!!!
Steph

The LLM in International Human Rights. They requested a reply in 14days or I would lose my place. I guess then they start to give the places to people on the waiting list.
Hope that helped

Thanks, Steph. I applied for HRs and Intellectual property rights.
Have you applied to any other unis or just Lund?
Maybe Lund hasn't started to send offers to the programme in Hrs and IP yet. Has anybody else received an offer from Lund?

Hi Lea,
I applied to Utrecht, Groningen and Warwick (I got places at Utrecht and Groningen and haven't heard off Warwick yet). I have already accepted my place at Lund as it was my 1st choice.
No idea about other offer from Lund. It is very possible that they haven't started with offers for the HRs and IP LLM but I have no idea to be honest.
I hope you hear soon,
Steph

Hi, Steph! I'm from Latvia (Riga). But my boyfriend lives in Malmo, Sweden, that's why i really want to get offer from Lund, because if i go to study in the UK ( i got offers from Essex, Durham, Sheffiled and Sussex) it's rather far. Let's hope for the best.

I also received an acceptance email from Lund today, for those who are wondering about timing.
Steph, I'm wondering if you plan to continue to live in Copenhagen while you attend Lund?

Hi Amy,
I will continue to live in Copenhagen. It's only 45mins by train and I have an apartment which I share with my boyfriend (who is danish). I'm kind of hoping that I'll make some friends that won't mind me crashing on their floor if there's a party.
Are you going to accept the offer? Was it for the HRs or the HRs and IP?
Congratulations on your place.
Steph

Hi Steph,
I was accepted to the new programme - International Human Rights and International Labour Rights. I haven't accepted the offer yet - I'm still mulling it over. If I do accept, I was hoping to live in Copenhagen as well, but can't figure out whether I would be allowed to do so as I would only have a Swedish residence permit. Any suggestions?

Amy,
It really depends where you come from. Assuming you are from an EU country then you just need to have a certain amount in your bank account to get a temporary residence permit- I think around 50000DKK (but it could have changed)- this money doesn't have to be there permanently (for example you can get your parents to transfer the money to you, get a copy of the bank statement and then give it back).
On the otherhand I wouldn't suggest living in Copenhagen- living cost are much higher than in Sweden, especially re. rent . Additionally if you aren't entitled to the danish grant (SU) or the Swedish grant then you won't get reduced train fare-955dkk a month reduced and1580 dkk not reduced.
Of course I'm not trying to put you off. It would be great for me to have someone to get the train with!!!
Let me know what you think,
Steph
