The Faculty of Law at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands is expanding its roster of programs with a new LL.M. in Health & Technology Law, designed to meet the evolving needs of the health sector.
While health law and technology law are traditionally treated as two separate fields, this one-year, interdisciplinary program will look closely at the expanding interconnectivity of the two areas.
Topics of study include the use of technology to reduce costs and improve care, the security and privacy risks entailed, and the complex legal complications raised by these issues.
The LL.M. in Health & Technology Law is designed for lawyers and legal professionals who aim to work in both European and international health bodies such as the World Health Organization, national health ministries, health inspectorates, hospitals, and more.
The curriculum includes fundamentals such as Human Rights Law and International Health Law, as well as specialized courses and seminars on such topics as Data-Driven Innovation and Health and Technology in the 21st Century.
