Groningen LLM in Public International Law

Has anyone done the PIL LLM in Groningen? Its top rated PIL in Netherlands apparently (only a Netherlands ranking?). Their website says you can do two LLMs same time as well. Anyone have experience with this?

Dear Lawman24, I am Nick from Georgia. I did PIL LLM in 2016 in Groningen. Few of my friends have done two LLMs the same time. So it is definitely possible. The ranking is according to the latest Keuzegids Higher Education Guide 2017 – Master’s programmes, which includes descriptions of all higher education master’s programmes officially registered in the Netherlands. It is truly a very good program, helped me greatly, I already teach back home.

Hi Lawman24. To elaborate briefly about the Keuzegids, the rankings are only published in Dutch so not known widely outside the Netherlands, but are assessments for most masters programmes in the country reflecting student evaluations of their programmes. You can see the most current rankings for all Dutch unis/accredited LLMs here: http://bit.ly/2n1A0qm Scores of 76 or higher receive special recognition as Top Rated Programmes in the country. Our Public International Law LLM is a track within the Top Rated International Law and the Law of International Organizations programme. Most of our PIL graduates end up in government positions (http://bit.ly/2n2EwE5)
If ever questions about the LLM feel free to send us a msg here :)
