Geneva Academy LLM 2017-18 Applicants

kisher.oj

Hi!! I applied to the program too, but still did not get any news :/.
I was wondering if they have offered you the full scholarship or just partial

I was offered a full one.
Did you apply for it too? I am not sure how they process the applicants, but the website says that "Admitted students and those put on a waiting list will be informed as of March 2017". So there is still quite some time. Also, I guess it depends on whether you clicked the box "I want to be considered for admission without scholarship".

Hi kisher.oj,

I wanted to ask you how many years of IHL experience you have.
Thank you.

@kisher.oj, are you planning on accepting your offer? :) Congratulations!

Thanks! I have not yet finally decided as there are several other options that I have. Are you? Your "Application Tracker" has some other good schools.
Also, check you DM!

Hi everyone!

I have just been admitted to the program, hope to see you in Geneva this year. I was informed that living in the city is quite expensive, so, does anyone know what options we have? Thanks.

Hi all!

I have been accepted to the Geneva Academy IHL & HR and also to the University of Kent's Brussles School of International Studies for HR.

Can anyone give me any advice on which is the better university and also lifestyle / cost / job prospects in each city.

Thank you!

I was also admitted :). I´m now just waiting for the approval from the donor!!

I think it might be a mere administrative act, but I don´t know...do you?

Congrats! An alumnus told me that he knew of a case when a prospective student was not accepted by the donor. I did not, however, ask him to elaborate on that.

Hey,

I attended the Academy in 2015-2016. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hello,

I am been preselected for full scholarship. It further says that the scholarship still needs to be accepted by donor!

What does it imply?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Congratulations!

I had applied through the non-scholarship track, so I am not quite sure what are the implications in this case. But I assume it simply means that the scholarship sponsor has to accept your application. I would assume you simply have to wait for their reply now.

One of the alumni told me that it is the Academy who decides the scholarship.

It is better to wait till they reply.

That's interesting. But kind of contradicts the idea of preselection - then why could not they decide right away?

Hi all,

I have been waitlisted. Would you happen to know by when the candidates who have been offered admissions need to confirm? (I just needed to figure out whether there's any chance of me hearing from them anymore.)

Yes. And one point: They have not mentioned anything about the refusal by the donor regarding the deposit of CHF 150
