IT is understandable to receive emails from different institutions, considering the program is run by a consortium of universities.

my email was from

And it seems yours was from
"Graduate Liaison - Graduate School in Law & Economics

Are we taking about the same thing?
But they are all EMLE.....
How many instututions are in charge of the selection?

Was also quite curious you guys had been informed the status of the acceptance even before the end of February. Maybe they do it in different rounds?

What does this email mean?
I have received an email which informs me that I have been admitted to the EMLE programme with the partial waiver. Since then, I have received no more emails at all. Neither the "first mail about the changes in the notification dates" or this one.
So, the result I received is a final result or just a mistake?

i only know three things worth betting over - coffe, chocolat, and alcahol - all or one of the above to be delivered on teh first night following the program commencment.

If you are right (I hope you are) and if I am admitted (I hope I am) I'll buy you all three of them! If you are not right, but if we are both admitted, I will claim the drinks... I am not a big fun of chocolate and honestly, I prefer a cold beer over coffee :)

You seem to have very good info Lukalaw. Is that only because you applied last year already or because you know something we dont?

Common sense - last years observations, and comparing to the emle. i for one would certanly only push send the last moment i am at the office - assuming 500 applicants atleast 10% of whom will take some offense with the descion - i would want a good nights sleep before dealing with it, wouldn't you?

Yeah, I also considered the possibility that they will throw the bomb and leave, but you sounded really confident so I thought you may have additional info.

I am sure they must have a lot of pressure to release the decisions soon, because probably most applicants applied to EMLE and EMTTLF, and some will have to choose between both of them. The deadline to reply to EMLE's offer is March 20, and that doesnt leave us much time to decide.

I am keeping my fingers crossed! I never wanted to lose a bet as much as I do now!

i always exude confidence, its a blessing its a curse - its just the way i talk (write), but at this instance i am fairly confident concerning the date: the nominees have to be vetted by the e.c by the end of the month - and that means they have to send the descions by snail mail no later then the 29th, all in all you would need no less then 3 weeks from announcement to E.C submission (people have applied to the program sometimes months ago, and some (obviously not the ones reading this) have all but forgotten about it. At best that means you can expect the most initial response within a week, second phase would involve going one by one through the people on the waiting list giving them 48 hours to consider the application and that might mean another week at least. at that stage people would be required to send the originals of the application documents - and should be allowed at least a week to do so) - Meaning that it would have to be this week.

working from last year's dates - it was 3 weeks from submission to results - which works out today (just short of 22:00 spain) and since everything else fits as well i am staking a beer on it - and if not today - well what's a few more days/weeks in the bigger scheme of things.

Well, you should be confident about your admission. You were offered a scholarship last year and you already have a master in finance. I would be looking for accomodation in Bilbao if I were you... That is obviously not my case.
On the other hand, did they really sent the mails that late in the night last year? Is 16:15 in Spain right now, and I believe they work until 17:00...

i am reasonably confident (more so then last time) - espically since i have spent last year quite on point with the goals of the program, but you never know - the submission is relative to the other applicants, and as the program gains track and publicity the standards are sure to climb upwards, especially for the ILF track which i am much more intrested in.

Well, lets see what happens. It seems like everybody applied to the ILF track and if they have only 5 places and you have already taken one (I could bet an extra beer on that), then I should be extremely lucky to get in. I am still hoping I do of course, but I am really nervous about it.
I hope I can pay and/or receive the drinks we bet!

your on, if i get the ILF consider that beer yours - i am doubtfull of my chances though, last year while i was eventually given an offer it was to strs and even that after some time on the waiting list, this year i should place better but who knows.

and yes it seems MPC is overwoked here, its an awfully lot of applications to check in a very short time - while still managing the admin aspects of two ongoing classes of the emttlf - let us just hope nothing crucial falls between the cracks.

Ok, If you were put on the waiting list with a master degree and experience in finance, I should just forget about it!!! Strassbourg is not a chance for me 'cause I cannot say two words in french, so...I really hope that crossing fingers does something for me!

I was not recommended for the scholarship, but I cannot say that I am disappointed, as I have already decided on another program and that scholarship would sure have been hard to turn down...
